  1. It also depends on what you're looking for, as the Sharp is better for live recordings, and the other's aren't. Personally, I'd go for the Panasonic, as I've had one too many Sony fail on me, and my DR7 has recently died as well.....
  2. NetMD allows up to 32x reocrding speeds (64x on the newer Sonys). Unless an mp3 type device is what you're looking for (which you're not), a non-netmd device seems right for you. But, if you want the addition of editing functions from your computer, a NetMD model may be good for you. If you opt for NetMD, I'd suggest a Sharp IM-MT880/899H, merely because the main purpose will be live recording, and Sharps have always been better for that.
  3. Heh, I'm 14 and I have all the stuff in my sig . I opted for a DR7+S1 instead of an N10 though....
  4. well good choice on considering minidisc as an alternative to an mp3 player!! First of all, a minidisc stores music according to minutes, not megabytes. A minidisc can hold 80 minutes of SP music, 160 minutes of LP2 music, or 320 minutes of LP4 music. SP has the best sound quality (near CD quality), followed by LP2 and then by LP4. The sSound degration between SP and LP2 is not noticeable on a portable such as the N707, but a HiFi unit, it's noticeable. Inless you're an audiophile with Ety's or something, an N707 with LP2 discs seems like the best thing for you .
  5. Um, no. The same of amount of N10's were produced as N1's (30,000 I believe).
