  1. Not sure whether there is such a product for the Walkman (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!), but there is a range of Sony head units specifically designed for the Walkman with a USB input on the front that allows you to control the Walkman using the car stereo and has ID tags as well. Hopefully this link will work - Sony Walkman Car Stereos, I think it's the CDX-GT414 and 610 - you might have been better buying one of them!
  2. Hey guys, Have just bought a new car, which has a CD player and I want to get an FM transmitter so that I can play my Walkman through my stereo system. My previous car had a cassette stereo so I could use one of those tape adaptors which was ideal!...so any recommendations?! Cheers
  3. I've got over 2000 tracks on my NW-A3000 now and everything was fine, until last week when a slightly annoying problem turned up! For some reason, if I go to "music library", then select "Artist" and then go to view all tracks from a particular artist (say Bloc Party for instance) - instead of showing all the Bloc Party tracks it shows all the tracks by the artist two or three down in the alphabetical list (eg Blur)! It's like this for probably 3/4 of the entire music collection, so obviously I don't want to have to re-install of the music, so does anyone have an idea what I can do to get the track listings right? P.S. I've connected it up to Connect and Sonic Stage and the track listings appear fine through them, and pressing the reset button hasn't corrected it either... Cheers in advance
  4. Most of the tracks have been burned from CD to 128kbps ATRAC but there are a fair few mp3s on it as well. I tend to have 'Shuffle All' selected and have to admit to skipping tracks quite often depending on what type of music I'm in the mood for, so I guess that isn't helping the battery life from what you say Pete! Cheers guys
  5. What kind of length battery life should I realistically expect with my NW-A3000? I know 35 hours is quoted but what's realistic? Haven't tested mine from full to discharged but I would guess I'm getting ~15-20 hrs max...
  6. Bought my new NW-A3000 at the weekend and tried using the Sonic Stage software downloaded off the Sony web site to copy my CDs, but have found a problem...when copying and converting to ATRAC and playing the tracks, they skip forward about a second roughly every minute during the tracks. I tried different bit rates, but still the same. I then tried copying and converting to ATRAC Lossless, which solved that, but each song is around 20-30MB in size (thought ATRAC was supposed to reduce file sizes!). Can anyone help and tell me where I'm going wrong - this ATRAC business is new to me! Cheers
