Lemme check it out pls, just hold on!

Same here

1. Minidiscs don't lose the quality, I can guarantee u with my exprience  (3-4 years now) 2. YES. I just bought a Sony MDS-JE480 Minidisc deck and the 1st disc I used was the first one I bought 3-4 years ago. That disc used to be in LP2, LP4 and stereo modes. TOC has been updated hundred of times, and I record a CD I bought digitally to MD to see if the deck was working good, and man, I hear the recording on my MZ-R700 and it's CRISP! Sound's amazing. MD's are the way to go  , trust me, and no quality loss!
-
Also, think: U can buy CD's and record digitally to MD! But it'll only allow u to do one digital copy of the material. This is to make spreading impossible with the highest quality... But u can do record in analog as many times as u want...
-
Hum, didn't u wanna say "Mic In" (Plug In Power)?!
-
Get any Net MD. Just record in normal or mono mode
-
U main problem is not Net MD. Could U give us the reference of the car's MD? We'll / I'll (if it's Sony, faster  ) tell u whether the unit supports LP mode or not. If it doesn't, all u have to do is record MD's in normal mode or Mono (In normal nothing appears on the display, when in mono, "mono" appears on the LCD. Just be sure not to see LP2/4 on the display, ok?

No problem! Glad to help here

The mic in has an higher sensivity. Also, U can't plug a mic into line in and make it work, since it needs a socket with "plug in power" (as the mic input). So u'd be better off with a mic in md if possible...
-
U have the added radio function, that lies on the remote, so if u remove the remote and plug in "normal" headphones to the headphone out, u'll have no radio. The recorded MD's have the same quality in a radio or non-radio unit (as far as analog/digital/mic is concerned). About the radio function, I don't know if the reception is good, since I don't have one...

Just copy it if u want. I found it in these forums. A user was using it. Do u have another MD and want a similar one but with regard to urs?! Did I get it  ?

I have EXACTLY the same problem... The remote that comes with the MZ-R700 is the RM-MZ4R (U can see it when u turn the remote around. It is written clearly on that plastic thing to hook up to ur shirt/jeans/etc). Now, I came across this problem a few months ago, and I don't use the remote anymore due to this problem. If I wiggle the cord near the minidisc, on the conector, this makes the player to stop, and when it stops, some weird sound comes out from the headphones... Also, appear some characters for -1second, and then go off (those sounds keep on!). I want an R900 remote now... Does anyone have any other experiences/tips? b1kshad0w, could U explain more briefly? Is it the same as it happens to me? Thx

Try another disc... But seems a problem with the MD...
-
I use Sony's MDR-EX71SL and they OWN! The stock ones shipped by Sony are sh!t
-
I'm 17 and I use MD since June 2000

Optical is digital, as coaxial is...
-
That's what I think so... Also, if I buy the R900 remote, should I do the hack before installing the new remote or then?
-
kurisu, the remote u have is from the MZ-N1? Coz that is not from the R900...
-
So, is the remote mentioned from the N1?
-
But the RM-MC12ELK is not the 900s remote... What is that remote?
-
Cheers, I own an MZ-R700. I've read the MZ-R700 to 900 hack. And the ability to use the 900 remote on the 700. Is it just plug and that's it? Or will I have to do any changes on the electrical bus? Coz I tried to use my MZ-R700 remote on a Sony Discman (I know ) and the buttons were screwed up, like, the other way around... So, basically, if I buy the 900 LCD Remote is it just plug it in on the 700, and that's it? Free, new 3 features (Tempo, Backlight and LCD)? Thx m8's.
