but wouldnt it be pretty expensive to fix most problems that occur with minidisc players?? I have a MZ-R700 too and a few months ago it stopped recording...i guess the write heads dying out or whatever..i can only play discs on it now. do I have any other options other than replacing the head to fix this? ..that would be pretty expensive wouldnt it?? a head cleaning disc wouldnt work would it? SaDeS
  2. yeah..have u tried a different MD??....i cant see how this can be a problem with the player if it plays the first 6 songs and not the rest. maybe something went wrong when you were recording the other songs...did these songs play before??
  3. hey...my MZ-R700 doesnt record anymore..and probably according to what most ppl have told me its cos my laser is dying out..so will turning this screw and increasing the power help me out??? ...is there any documentation about how i can do this??? tnx, SaDeS
  4. can anything be done about my problem on test mode s???....the service manual has something called "modified data writing methods" and a "laser power check"in it..but the one i found only has it for version 1.000 and 1.100...my MZ-R700 has version 1.300....so i didnt try to do anything...
