  1. Could it be that the original songs/music that you were recording have bass levels that were too high for the player to take ? I do encounter bass such bass distortion with my MZ-R500. Actually not exactly a problem with my player, its more of the music that i'm recording it. I think appraently the bass levels of the music was too high. So what i did was to do some low frequency filtering before i actually get it on my MD. That helps abit. Does your bass distortion occurs on all the different types of music you record on it ?
  2. I've downloaded the service manual from this website and in the service manual, it states that there is a audio adjustment option in service. But sadly, the service manual has omitted explanation for this options. Anyone figure out what this audio adjustment might do ? Or any site that has a detail explanation of the R500 service menu ? Thanxs.
