My God I will not be able to sleep tonight worrying what I will do when it happens. Cheer up guys we as people are very adaptable and will come up with a cure long before that. I remember when the bow and arrow was invented and some doom sayers said that terrable weapon would destroy the world.

Don't know if anyone else noticed but the forum is much faster this morning. Thought I would mention it as I was one who complained about how slow it was before. Nice going whoever is responsable, always enjoyed the forums and the new speed will just increase my enjoyment.

To bad you wouldn't ship to your good friends to the north up here in Canada.

A friend told me today that a good way to download cassetts, LP's, etc is to use clean plus v.4 by pinnacle. It comes with a preamp that plugs into your usb port and also has software that allows you to make changes to the music, remove hum, fade in or out, and other goodies. What I am wondering is if anyone on this site has used this program and can tell me how well it works.

Now that the courts have ruled it is not illegial to download music under the present laws in Canada I may download some of my favorites. What I need to know where are their some sites to download from. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Sefu I find the same thing here in PEI Canada and I have high speed connect to the net. Sometimes it is so slow I just get disgusted waiting so I move on to something else.

Go to this home page minidisc.org and hit browse and click on HIMD and you will find a home unit from Sont for HIMD. Apparently this unit is not available to June but that is just around the corner.

What you see in the previous picture is a fishing storage box which can be picked up at any wallmart. I forget the makers name but if it comes to me I will post it later.

In Canada we have a product called GOO BE GONE which works and will make removing lables and glue no problem.

Their is one scheduled for release this year. The new models can be viewed at: www.minidisc.org.

There is one already that will be released later this year. The model # is LAM-X1. You can see it and all the new line of Sony HI-MD units at: www.minidisc.org. There are quite a few units you can check out with release dated and specs.

Trpe R or S do not have much to do with HI-MD as they are just diff code systems for encoding music for MD'S. Most MD'S will play both S and R encoded MD'S

This is not a very good answer to your question. One of them is a newer version of sony's music compression system. One works better with MDLP, sorry I can't give you more info but i am new at this also. If you want more info you can find it at. www.minidisc.org. There is also a forum at this site called T-STATION where you will also get a better ans to your question. Hope this helps you. Take care.
