Hi SW! You can record NetMD in SP with Open MG or Real player via mp3's, WMA or Wav. With an 80 Min. Minidisc you can record: SP is 80 min. LP2 Mode is 160 min. LP4 Mode is 320 min. eltel, Indeed, how is your sony mic? I have an old one which produces a flat sound, i like more of a full sound with some bass. With your bass roll off(i'm not too techy) i have 4 switches each for my left and right. i turn on the first two switches for each side and found while practicing the best sound. anybody else use this method?

I've been practicing with my Sharp DR7, with all kinds of music, but when plugged in the (with battery box) line-in it sounds so low in volume, i tried the mic input with battery box and it sounded much better and louder(no distortion), also the bass & cymbals sound was nicer. You guys ever tried this? I guess i will try this out at free concerts in the summer and see, like you guys say trial & error. Tom Jones concert was sold out!

sonofabass, What show did you see? What MD recorder did you use? Have you tried a battery box? How was the bass with the Volume control? I was testing my equipment today can't wait for summer concerts!

BRAVO Fernando! Will try your technique, with the Sharp MD-DR7. I'm gonna go see Tom Jones at the Apollo in NYC next week, only thing is i don't have bi mics so i will be using My Mini-Cardiods MM-MCSM-8 with Battery/Filter Module. This will be a sit down venue. What do you think of using the mics in headphones volume control connected to the line-in? any other advice?

I would also recommened trying the sharp or sony netmd as they are getting cheaper...cheak ebay, i've gotten some great deals recently and on the minidisc forums, got the Sony N1 for under $200.00 Hey SBG, What happened to the T-board? been trying to get on to no avail

EX71SL (long cord) and the EX71LP (short cord) that's the only difference the sound is the same. If you're willing to get earbuds go for the Sharp HP-MD33 4 poles they are excellent (you'll hear things on your music that you've never heard before, trust me).
