  1. I'm glad to know that my "discovery" helped you! ;D
  2. I own my MZ-N505 for about half a year and it's my first unit. I was unsatisfied with my remote (RM-MZ4R, the same that ikerCLon have mentioned), because I THOUGHT there was no group function on it and I was planning to buy Sony RM-MC11EL or Sony RM-MC12ELK. But a few weeks ago I have discovered that if I press the "DELETE" button for ~2 seconds, a group function is activated and then I can select group by presing fast forward/rewind buttons!! Also, by pressing and holding "EDIT" button for ~2seconds you can enter the MENU (IMHO, it is almost useless unless remote has not a lcd display). The only button which is "a mystery" on my remote is a "T MARK" button. It should place a track mark, but it just isn't working: doesn't matter if you just press or hold it... Maybe it require some kind of combination of buttons... So, the only bad thing about my RM-MZ4R remote is that it has not an LCD display, however it is quite tolerable for me. And one question: Is the Sony RM-MC33EL compatible with MZ-N505? Audiocubes says it is compatible with N707, and, in fact that these units are very similar, I thought that this remote could work with N505 too. Am I right?
  3. 2 - You press the group button, then group function is activated, then you press the fast forward/rewind buttons: the group names are displayed. Then you select a group by pressing enter button (or just waiting few seconds) and palyback of group tracks' begins. Then you select a track using fast forward/rewind buttons. 3 - well, AFAIK, only very few portable md units have a backlit lcd display on the unit itself (Sony MZ-1, Sony S-1), however, I could be wrong. And it is not mentioned in pre-specs that MZ-NHF800 will have such a thing...
  4. I'm interested in what volume do you listen to your minidiscs at. I have read that some people always listen at 10/30 or even less... Well, I have not any hearing damage/disease, but louder music just has more "drive", energy and it is much more funnier to listen to louder music. Actually I prefer listening at 22/30 - 30/30, and listening at <=10/30 is only acceptable in the night for me. Maybe it's because of my neckband headphones that are a bit leaky relatively to the sound. So what's your prefered volume level?
  5. Thanks for your answer, kurisu. Yeah I've noticed MDR-D66 earlier, and their specifications are realy nice, however, they cost twice as much as D22 I was wondering maybe there is a "middle" between those models, something like D33 or D55, but I found only a little about those on the Internet, and i believe that they're already discontinued or out of stock... Hmmm.. I think I would go with MDR-D22
  6. Could you suggest me what headphones should I buy? Sony MDR-D22SL http://www.audiocubes.com/product_info.php...f94491229378280 or Sony MDR-G73SP http://www.audiocubes.com/product_info.php...f94491229378280 Tech specs are very similar. Both of them are stylish and have excellent portability (as I've seen in photos), but I don't know if the MDR-D22SL wouldn't be too big, and if the sound wouldn't be leaking from MDR-G73SP, as it does from my current neckband headphones, PHILIPS SBC HS381. And I don't know which ones sound better... I want to buy a new headphones for my MZ-N505, which I use mostly in school and street. So, if you can, please give me an advice. Thanks.
