I emailed sony twice asking if Hi-MD supports ID3 tags, both responses i recieved stated that no model supports ID3, yet their website still lists all models as having ID3 support in the comparison chart... whats the deal? the comparison chart can be viewed at sonystyle.ca

thanks for the response, another quick question: so do the Hi-MD models allow for high speed transfer of something equivalent or over a 192kbps MP3? If so then this is exactly what i have been waiting for. I tried an IPOD, but the damn thing didnt have gapless playback and i cannot stand the clicks between tracks especially on a mixtape. I love the MD format but the software limitations really put me off on it... i dont see what is so difficult about a hi speed transfer of a 192kbps mp3. thanks

does the new sonic stage support 192+ kbs on the pre hi-md models such as the recent red and black aiwa's, and is it true 192 or simply a rebadged 128kbs? i have refused to purchase an MD because of the 128kbs limitation of the net MD software... ive gotten around the check in/check out crap as well, but if the new sonic stage 2 allows high quality net MD transfers, i think a purchase is in order. thanks!
