  1. Just upgraded to 3.2 from 2.0 - BUT now it seems I cant create a file to import mp3's into so it just imports individual files and plonks them in a long line. I think I read somewhere re this subject but cant find anything - I cant believe SS has lost this functionality. I am running windows XP can anyone help
  2. I think this is due to the "balance" of voulume that you need between the volume on the md unit and on the cassette player. If you have the volume too high on the MD it results in total distortion - trick is to reduce the volume on the md unit and increase it on the cassette player until you get it just right.
  3. I have one of these ;- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WDVW paid a bit than this for it as well - i have always been impressed with quality and it has been going strong for about 12 months.
  4. I have this problem - I think everyone does - if you push the pause it will switch off after a few secs. If you want to put away and are afraid it will come back on then push the pause then immediately click on the hold. Or as said use the remote ( if you use one ).
  5. Thanks kurisu Love the JB980 - and it compliments my MZ-E10 perfectly !! Thanks for your time on this prob. Blog
  6. Solved ........................but I dont know how!! Tried to move a file back from the minidisc to the HDD and SS told me that I needed to have my music database authenticated, it then imployed the reset tool and authenticated database - all is now working!!!
  7. I have functionality in that Sonicstage sees the minidisc and the files that are on it on it.
  8. Not sure kurisu, I have just reinstalled 980 driver - still same
  9. Hi I am using an MDS JB980
  10. I have now carried out a full reformat of HDD and reinstalled windowsXP ( Home ) and reinstalled sonicstage. Still same error "Cannot convert the specified track. SonicStage does not support the file format of the track." BUT - it will play all tracks - just not transfer them to minidisc, even if they have never been transferred previously. Now at a complete loss.
  11. bump Has anyone got to the bottom of this ? I have installed onto an XP machine and I get the exact same issue "Cannot convert the specified track. SonicStage does not support the file format of the track. - For all of my tracks - thousands of them !! and in all formats I have converted from mp3 VBR mp3 constant to ogg to wave - to all formats with no success. I have reinstalled sonicstage v2.0 from scratch. Really dont know what else to do - have written to Sony but not holding my breadth! I feel an Mp3 player comming on Can anyone help !
