  1. I bought a medium size Otterbox 2000. Fits my MZ-N1 perfectly! I modified it by drilling two holes on the bottom near the hinges to hold my Sound Professional binaural mics. The drill bit I found is just the right size of the mics. The mic slips right into the hole. I with it was a little smaller for a snugger fit, but it's still good. I need a little help though. When I was testing it out by recording while walking around the house with it. The mics easily pick up the wind from my arm swinging. So I need to figure out something to stop this. I could cut up a windscreen and glue it in there, but the hole is only a little over a quarter of an inch. It would be hard to manuver and glue in there. I don't want to glue it outside cause it'll be too obvious. Any ideas? Also, the mics are a little loose in there. If the case it bumped the wrong way one could fall out of the hole. Any ideas on how to keep them in place without tape or anything that could damage the mic?
  2. Right now, I'd like to spend no more than $50, give or take a little. Not looking for anything high end yet. Just something omnidirectional, that doesn't need a battery box (or a cheap one), that will pick up someone talking from a few feet away, clips/windscreens, and can maybe handle a little abuse.
  3. I'm a beginner when it comes to mics and recording. I'd like to get a general purpose omnidirectional mic but I have no idea which to consider. My main use will be for recording conversations with friends. Obviously most conversations will be in a room or close quarters. But some won't. Like this weekend, a few friends and I will be going golfing. We all suck at golf so we have a hilarious time. I was thinking about cliping a microphone to the canopy of the golf cart and hopefully pick up everything said within a certain radius of the golf cart. I have no idea which mic to get for this. I was considering... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5713030681&rd=1 but I'm not sure if they're any good. Can anybody recommend a good mic for this use?
