  1. I stopped by my local Walmart here in Maine and picked up the last at the store. If they are discontinued, which seems logical as they were located in a electronics clearance area. 15 standard MD for $15.
  2. This is for SS 3.4 with 30 GB's of music First: 14 sec Second: 8 sec P4 2.0 GHZ 768 MB 7200 RPM hard drive
  3. The only time I have had an issue with pops or clicks was due to corrupted or incompatible ASPI drivers. I would burn mp3/wav files to a virtual disc. I would then mount the disc to a virtual drive. That is when I noticed there were some audio drops and pop noises. This was only in a few songs though. Fortunately I noticed after the second disc was imported to SS. The original files played just fine through Windows Media player before they were burned. I rolled the ASPI drivers back to 4.60 which has since resolved it. This probably isn't your issue but I thought I would share my experience.

  5. I stumbled across a link that had some SonicStage skins. Thought I would share this with whoever is looking for different skins. Just download to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sony Corporation\SonicStage\Skins (default directory) and remove the '.zip' http://www.sonymatome.com/sonicstage/index...%DD%B4%C9%B8%CB
  6. On the website you stated. "Users should not be expected to read the manual ..." My question to you is why? Why do you feel like you should not be expected to read the manual? I don't get that way of thinking.
  7. Forgive me if you could do this before and if this is old news. My library is all Atrac3+ 256 kbps. I installed SS 3.4 on two computers. I could easily transfer Hi-MD made recordings to both PC's no problem. I also copied an entire folder from my PC to my laptop through Windows/drag and drop. Imported into SS (I did NOT get a authorization prompt) and transferred to a disc at whatever bitrate I wanted. I also transferred to an old NetMD player no problem. So in theory can we share OMA files??? Doesn't make much sense considering the size but might be worth checking out. Great to see SS moving forward.
  8. I have been going into the specific album and selecting all files. Then choosing 'convert format' to the desired bitrate. This will save an optimized copy to the directory called 'Optimized Files'. I then delete the album from SonicStage, delete the original directory that contains the wav file. Then import from the 'Optimized File' directory. That is what I have been doing for the few files that I want converted to Atrac. Hope this helps.
  9. If you want to learn more about the capabilities of Audition try this site. http://emusician.com/editing/emusic_passing_audition/ Good luck.
  10. Very nice summary hobgoblin. You can already see it in the PSP. http://psp.connect.com/main.html
  11. I would like to know if SonicStage can create a random playlist. Then I could dump this to my NH1 and not have to experience the bad shuffling. This might improve battery life as the laser doesn't have to skip around as much. Any ideas???
