  1. well i doubt i can do anything, but who knows .. !? when i put in a minidisc it spins all the time and nothing happens. i already cleaned the lense a few times.. Is there a simple way to open it ? any idea what the problem is, and what i could do? thanks
  2. ok thanks... i have a mz r90 which doesn´work anymore... i will post a thread under technical support - maybe i can repair it somehow
  3. yeah... things are not that easy if you want the best solution. i noticed most md-recorders are getting cheaper and cheaper. all i need is a normal md.. if it can record in good quality it would be even better. Any suggestions what to get? I was thinking about the sharp newer dr series...
  4. Features: * The first Minidisc unit on the market. * ATRAC 1. * 10-second shock-resistant memory, 10 key direct track access. * Shuffle, repeat, program play modes, auto-resume, backlit LCD display for disc name, track name, time. * Bass boost. * Track divide, combine, swap, erase. * Disc and track (21 chars max) titling functions. * Date and time memo. * 1 hour continuous record on BP-MZ1 NiCad battery pack. thanks.. it´s a bit outdated right would it be possible to use the optical out in "realtime" when recording? mic´s>md(recordmode)>optical out>hardisc recorder(recordmode) you know forget about it! this sucks. I will buy me a preamp and a used minidic for my old recordings.
  5. Hi ! i am searching for a nice portable recorder (md/whatever) to record mostly sounds from nature. So searching for the best device is not that easy for me, since the most recorders are made for the masses... i hope there are some people here, who do same things like me... I don´t have that much money these days - so i was looking at the more budget ones, and heard about the hi-md´s ... i think these are not the best when i comes to good microphon preamps etc.. but i like the fact that hi-md can record in uncompressed pcm format. However i don´t know much about them, so any comments and recommendations would be very welcome! If there is a alternative to (hi)-md recorders please let me know! But, remember i don´t have the money for the BIG ones. btw.: i currently use OKM2 Microphones, which are a bit noisy but they are ok for the price oh, and i just found a site where they sell portable preamps: http://www.microphonemadness.com/categorie...ers_stereo.html what do you think about those? hope you can help a little
