Hello everyone,
I bought a couple of gumstick NH-14WM batteries for my MZ-NH900 recorder and also bought a Sony BC-7HT charger for them.
In the instructions for the charger say that charges *ONLY* NH-14WM, NH-9WM, NH-9WM(A), NH-9WM(S) and NC-6WM batteries.
I was wondering if it is safe to use the charger with the NH-10WM provided with the recorder.
The only difference I find between the NH14WM and NH10WM batteries is that one is 1400mAh and the other is 900mAh.
There is written on the NH-14WM battery: "Use only with sony battery charging system designated for NH-14WM". And the same on the NH-10WM, changing the text appropiately.
So, there are four warnings (including the one in the recorder manual for charging batteries with the MZ-NH900 unit) about interchanging different batteries for charging.
Being both gumstick batteries providing 1.2V, I would think it is safe to charge any on either the charger or the recorder. But I want to be in the safe side by asking first.
Any help?
Thanks!!
Hugo
