[HELP! SonicStage killed my files]

I tried to combine three PCM tracks in SonicStage and the combine failed at the very end. Now I can't do anything with the files because I get an error box stating:

"There is invalid rights management information in the OpenMG content."

Is there ANY way to salvage these files? The recording is of my band and no one else knows yet, HELP!!!

[Disabling automatic track markers from line-in on NH1]

Is there any way to disable the feature(?) that creates a new track when the volume drops below the factory (I believe) set threshold when recording from analog line-in on the Sony NH1? That's a real pain in the butt when recording music with many quiet sections with an outboard mixer w/ a preamp. I ended up with 54 tracks recording a concert with 9 songs.

It sounded great though. I used a matched set of Rode NT5 mic's running through a mackie VLZ mixer with their XDR preamps into my NH1 recording at PCM.

[Change location of "My Library," how?]

Does anyone know how to change the location of "My Library" in SS 2.2? I could only find the My Library Edit menu, not a way to select the location of My Library. Thanks for any info,

Thanks for the input everyone. I plan on getting a new PC (would have been a Mac if damn SS worked with it) somtime next year. Until then I might be drinking a lot of coffee.

Hello all. I have an old slow computer, PI 233 MMX processor and 128 MB RAM. SonicStage says the requirement is a PII 400. Has anyone tried running SS on a computer as slow as mine or have any input on if it will work and not kill my computer and MD.

I was able to use my MD as a plug and play removable HD and transfer files. Thanks for any info you can provide.

[Recording both channels in MONO?]

Is there any way, possibly with hardware adapters, to record on both channels while using a non-stereo mic?

[Slow file transfers?]

It took about 30 minutes to transfer 671MB of PCM files to my computer. Should it take this long? I just got a MZ NH1 last week and this was my first file transfer. I'm using SS 2.2. Thanks

[Clamp filters]

I just bought a Sony MZ NH-1 and am wondering what the clamp filters do and if they are necessary to use. The one on the remote is a bit bulky. Anyone know?

[Sony SonicStage and Macintosh]

I will soon be a Minidisc enthusiast! I hope to buy a Mac somtime in the future as well and wonder if SonicStage will work with Mac's? Looking at a manual it said it won't. Anyone know anything further about possibilities in the future or if versions before 2.2 have been Mac compatible? Thanks for any information
