  1. I (like many of you, as I see) use my HI-MD to make long recordings by a microphone and then to move them on my pc, so let me express my great satisfaction for the removal of the restriction on the number of times I can upload my own recordings. Now I hope that as soon as possible Sony will remove also the condition to deactivate the write protection on the disc before uploading self-recorder tracks; if I could attivate such a protection I would be completely sure that an eventual error during the upload process would not compromise my recordings. If I am not wrong, now nothing should be written on the disc during the upload of self-recorded tracks and so this restriction is completely useless. Isn't it true?
  2. Do you know if this last release of Sonicstage has solved the problems reported in Minidisc forum, consisting in the loss of data that sometimes happens during the upload of recordings from the hi-md to the pc? If someone still finds this problem, please let us know, because it seems to me a very important point to discover (to avoid the boring solution to back-up the most important recordings in real time). Thank you very much.
  3. I have just tested the last release (0.30) of HI-MD Renderer and it works very well, with the (at least for me) very useful possibility to directly convert the atrac files to mp3 (and other formats: flac, ogg vorbis). Thank you, Mark!
  4. My wish is to use my hi-md to make recordings longer than 74 min in a compressed format, to move them to my PC and to convert them to mp3 files; so the fact that the Sony wav-converter splits the resulting wav file in many 74 min wav files is very negative for me. At least they could put an option in their software to choose to divide the files or not! I hope that Marcnet continues to work on his excellent HiMDRenderer (improving and enriching it, if he can), because people in Sony who work on software evidently can't do anything without putting in it something illogical.
