Me too. I found the 3 line display very useful. That's why I'm still using the Hi-MD till now. No need to take out the unit if I want so scroll for the songs. Hopefully Sony will come out with cooler 3 or more line display remote. As it's quite worring that there are no new remotes other than the sitck designs.

I read somewhere in the manual that the battery is only 80% charged for the first hour and this is when the LED light is on. For a full charge would take 3 hours. For me, I just leave the unit in the cradle and go to sleep. When I wake up, its already fully charged. Anyway I have an extra battery for backup which is half full at all times.

At least its slimmer than the MZ-NH10 and has a better remote by default if you really use a remote,

I've been using an MD since late 1998 when my cousins bought me an MZ-R55. I was like wow when I found out the price of the unit. The sleekness of the unit(at least at that time) and the clarity of the sound compared to my old cassete player(still using anologue recording for MD at that time). The best was seeking the songs as one need to press next instead forwarding the tape. Lol...! Used it till 2000 when I bought myself an MZ-E900 due to it's longer playback time. Four years later 'treated' myself an MZ-NH1 and has been using this till now.

True. Like you I spent quite a lot to get another spare battery. Sigh...

I certainly have the Non-US version as I live in Singapore. I don't have the USB port in the cradle. Sigh... Wouldn't it be better if NH1 came with it.

Well I also wanted to get a second one and the cost of getting a second battery was cheaper so dropped the idea of gettimg one. The power adapter comes seperately from the cradle.

Well the minor differences in battery life doesn't really affect me. Actually I don't even feel any difference. I always have a spare battery handy...

I also just sent a mail to them asking why there is a big gap between LP and SP. We just need more people to amke them to work more.
