Hi. I'm a musician and I want to do some live recording. I have a few questions about Hi-Md. My understanding so far is that I can record via a mic input in PCM 44.1, 16bit quality and then upload to the computer at very hi speed. Is this the case? Will I ever run into copy protection issues if I'm only recording live, non copywritten material? Are these units available in the US? I have yet to see one. Is Hi-Md going to be a flash in the pan or will it be around for a while? (get out your crystal ball Are any other companies making or planning to make Hi-Md units? Thanks!
