Hi, I recently purchased the sony n900 hi-md player and it works great apart from the gumstick battery!!! I charged it just like the instructions said and started using it but the battery only lasts for a short time. For example, i charged it two days ago and it now says the battery is nearly empty. In the instructions it also stated that I may have to charge and discharge the battery several times on first use to get up to full capacity but this hasnt worked, the battery condition is getting worse. I can still bring it back to the shop or buy a new battery but I dont want this happening again. Is there something I did wrong? When the battery is new are you supposed to charge it immediately and not drain the power that was in it when it was opened? Are you supposed to not charge the battery until its charge is fully depleated and then charge, as in not doing top-ups? If i do choose to get a new battery, where can i get these? are the gumstick batterys only made by sony? Thanks, Adam
