  1. Hello to all the Community. Just wanted some advice about Sonic Stage. I currently have the 2.0 version and wanted to know what the advantatages of updating my version would be, if any. I've just started to use it even though I've had it for ages. I transfered some WMA & MP3 files to sonic stage and then using HISP 256kbps mode transfered to my HIMD player (MZ NH900) and the quality seemed better than using MD Simple Burner. Is it just me or is there a truth in that. Also is it right that tracks on the HIMD upoaded through MD Simple Burner cannot be transfered to Sonic Stage. If anyone can give me any advice on the best transfer quality, apart from using 256kbps HISP Mode which I use all the time anyway I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance for any input.
  2. Thanks for your replies so far guys. I do have optical out equipment which I could use but it would eat space on my HIMD Disc which defeats the purpose for me. Still
  3. Hi people I have the Natasha Beddingfield - Unwriiten CD & the record label is BMG. When I try to the load it on my PC (Windows Media Player) it only comes up with 10 secs of each song but doesn't even play thatand most importantly the same when I try and burn it on to my HIMD Walkman with Simple Burner and I need to do this as this is how I listen to most of my music. If this is how things are going to be I won't be buying any CD's and illegal downloading will just increase, who do these people think they are trying to dictate the way I listen to music that I have purchased and now own. This is obviously their way of stopping you copying it even if it is for your own use, does anyone know how I can get around this rudeness. Any advice gratefully recieved. Many Thanks.
  4. Hi to Everyone Originally posted this in the phones forum but had no reply, thought I'd try this one for one last attempt. I have read the pinned Recommended 'phones for Minidisc users which I found very useful. I'm thinking of buying the Sony MDR-E888 earphones and would like to know what people think of them (if they have any). Frequency Response is 8-27,000Hz Sensitivity (dB/mW) is 108 Output is 50mW Are these good values for my player. I have a Sony NH900 HI-MD Recorder & need some decent earphones. Cheers

  6. Right Guys, So if I am not bothered about space. Is HI-SP better quality than LP2 ? I would imagine it is.
  7. Right. Thanks. Interesting Info. Seems strange they have lowered the bit rate though. I wonder exactly how much quality has been lost or (allegedly) gained.
  8. So does this mean that as the NH900 only goes up to 256kpbs, that my old MZ-R91 is better quality at 292kpbs.
  9. Nice one for that INFO ROMBUSTERS. I was thinking of 256. Is there much of a difference between 256 and 64. I have an older player an MZ-R91 which obviously used ATRAC Technology, does anyone know what kps it ran at or any other players of that time.
  10. I know this is about opinion but what is the best quality recording setting. I would of thought HI-SP but it seems other people say different. Would appreciate all your views. I would sacrifice space for quality if I had to. ( To those that were involved in my previous post, HELP, I MIGHT HAVE MADE A MISTAKE) I have my World Model NH900, 5mW at last & managed to sell my NH900 3mW. Thanks again for all your help.
  11. Cheers KJ Thanks for the peace of mind and all your help.
  12. KJ - Thanks for that info. This tax thing is a shame, maybe you were just unlucky. I've ordered from bluetin.com. Good to hear what you said about service etc. Trying to cancel order with datavis.com. Hopefully there is no more problems, if they send me one, I'll end up with 3 NH900's. Nightmare ! Hope to get away with the Tax thing but I doubt I will. They're probably clued up about the gift tags & check them out. Swines. Can I ask you; Is your NH900 a 5mW model & are you pleased with it. Did you buy it from bluetin.com & how long did it take to arrive. Also is there any way, apart from listening to it, to tell that it's a 5mW model. How Paranoid am I !! :wacky: Cheers.
  13. TYPICAL Just when I send an order to datavis.com, I get a reply from bluetin.com apologising for the delay in aknowledging my request. With Bluetin NH900 costs £185 inc delivery and comes with earphones, which I prefer more than headphones. With datavis NH900 costs £178 inc delivery and comes with headphones which I'm not going to use. Also there is a good chance I'll have to be UPS tax on top of the price, which will make it more expensive. Less of a chance of that with Bluetin. My order has already been sent to datavis but I still haven't been sent a confirmation email. I think I should cancel my datavis order if possible and buy from bluetin. Both have 5mW output which is what I wanted & why this thread even started. Does anyone have any reason to advise me against this ? Thanks to everyone that has helped me on this thread, I can't wait for this to be over. I've still got to get rid of my NH900 3mW.
  14. Sorry to be a pain guys, anymore sites that you know about in USA ? bluetin.com haven't sent me a confirmation E mail about my request, it's been 3 days now. datavis.com, can't seem to load the page, it starts but is taking forever to completely load. I will keep trying but if it's going to be like this all the time I need a back up or two. I'm having crap luck at the moment.
