I have no idea why sony dicided to change it so album artist and artists in the album HAVE to be the same. Now i have bout 4 copies of every album i have in my library. It's confusing and extremely annoying. So much for "improved usablity". The only benefit is it's a bit faster, but still the the cons out weigh the pro by a lot. Im even thinking of reinstalling v2.3. That's just my opinion

Hey all! I'm in a bit of a dilemma right now... I don't know if i should get a NH1 or wait for the 2nd gen. The NH1 is seems so captivating and I'm really sick of use my lame portable cd player, but I'm worried the 2nd will be soo much better (ie 2gb discs, improved download speeds, etc.). I could really care less about native mp3 support. So anyone have any idea if the 2nd gen will blow away the 1st gen? Thanx, any advice would be great. orb_cz

I know sony had a press event at the CES last night, anyone know if they announced anything on Hi-MD or for that matter anyting related to new portable audio? I'm probably just hopeing in vain, but any info/rumors would be great. Thanx in advance

Thanx Dave that player helped. I tried to play an .oma file in Windows Media Player 10 and it worked. However, you have to go through some error messages first. Lets hope more players will soon be able to play .oma files. Thanx orb_cz

Although I don't have my Hi-MD yet, I downloaded sonicstage to convert my files to atrac so I would have to do it once I got my Hi-MD. Now all my music files are atrac and AFAIK I have to use SS to listen to them. Does anyone if there is a programme that will play atrac files other than SS?

Hi, I'm planning on getting an NH1 soon and I wanted to know if Hi-MDs can be used as USB drives with Macs. I have a PC at home but at school there are just Macs with no floppy drive and I don't want to blow a lot of cash on an extra USB jump drive. Thanx in advance
