Hi all, I just recorded a live concert using my new Sony MD recorder MZ-N707 and made the huge mistake of trusting the Automatic Record Level and it came out all distorted...during the quieter spots, between songs, and when the performer speaks the sound is fine. But when the loud music starts it just distprts an clips and is quite upsetting. I used a Stereo T Mic that plugged into the Mic In of the Recorder. Next time I will try using the Manual Record for loud concerts and lower the levels and it should be fine.. My real concern and question is can this recording be fixed, improved or salvaged in any way so its at least listenable? Would running it through some software help clean up the sound or is it just too late for that? Please someone help who knows anything at all about this as this was an important recording for my daughter and i am unable to find it anywhere else right now. It was the Hilary Duff concert in Winnipeg Canada Jan. 10/05... My deepest thanks to all who read this and respond with any suggestions for help. Feel free to email me or post any help. Stay well everyone! Todd
