Newbie to MD, but I am a longtime fan of quality Japanese electronic gear. I've spent many hours on the web recently trying to find available units. I'm looking for a CD/MD/AM/FM (worldband tuner) and cassette deck all in one unit. I may have come to the wrong site because you guys seem to be mostly into MD recording and MD players only? Anyway, if ya'll know of a good source for info please let me know. I've gone to the Japanese sites for JVC, Sony, & Aiwa, but it is hard to navigate without knowing Japanese. It is especially difficult to determine of the AM/FM tuning section covers U.S. FM broadcast frequencies. Does anyone know if the Japanese TV broadcast band is in the 87.5MHz to 108MHz band? If so, then I'm assuming that units that list (TV channels 1 to 3) don't in fact have a worldband FM tuning section for broadcast FM stations since each TV channel wold be 6MHz wide taking up just about all 20MHz of the 88 to 108MHz band.
