  1. I kind of figured that about the limit on upload thing. I read a lot of reviews of people griping about that...oh well. "That's a new one for me on Wav Converter. Did you try doing it against after rebooting your computer? (The Windows cure for everything.)" I gave the "windows cure" several attempts with no success. As far as a complete un-install..I haven't tried that yet. I'll let you know when I do (tonight) and what the status is. If that doesn't work then I am seriously looking forward to regedit... Thanks again for all your help, J
  2. Thanks for the reply! I think I'm getting the hang of it now. However I've run into some other minor problems. When I initially got this I installed the software on another computer and imported the recordings there. Today after reading your post I installed the software on my laptop, and tried to import the files there, and I got this error that the files were imported on another computer. No biggy, but is there a way to override that? In regards to the wav converter from sony. I installed SonicStage from the CD that came with MD recorder initially, which was 2.0. I then followed your instructions and downloaded, and installed the 2.3 version. When I tried to install the wav converter, it barked at me and said that it requires SonicStage 2.1 or higher, and quits install. Yet I had just installed 2.3 fine. Ever seen that one? Thanks for all your help, once I get rolling with this stuff I'll put some tunes up for you to critique me! Thanks again, J
  3. Hey guys and gals, I bought a new minidisc recorder two nights ago, the MZ-NHF800 Hi-MD, and am very eager to start recording. My whole goal here is to take the output out of my board (mackie mixing board), plug it into the line in jack on the minidisc, and record our practices/shows. I tried it last night, learned it wasn't as easy as I anticipated, and just had some overall questions that I'm not finding answers for in the manual, and figured you guys could help out tremendously. 1. Is there a general explanation for which format to record in? For you guys that are doing this already, can you provide some pointers? 2. My whole goal is to take my recordings and burn them to CD. Is there another piece of software I need to obtain in order to do this? 3. What is up with the groups? Im not really understanding the purpose of that. I guess in general if anyone is doing this kind of stuff already, some best practices type info would be great. Thanks a lot in advance for any of your help! J
