I have met the same problem this night, I resolved it after searched the forum, I found the pinned topics is not for our situation. Also, reinstalltion any software is totally waste of your time, only reason for this situation is you have other usb device coneected and the ss/openmg messed it up. MY Way is listed below: 1. delete your netmd in device manager 2. Unplug any usb devices especially the media card reader for the stupid ss/openmg will only check the first usb device. 3. restart the system and start ss/openmg to the transfer/checkinout page 4. only plug in the netmd(first usb port is prefferred) 5. windows system will found new hardware and install the driver for netmd, after installation, your ss/openmg will find the netmd. Hope this will help.

if you have owned this nh600d, you will find it is the cheapest version like ne410 and ne420d in netmd series, so it will fall to $50 and then stay there. For there is no line in/optical/mic and no ac socket. crapy built nad cheap design. Believe it or not, nh600d is the most profitable one of sony himd series.
