  1. Sorry for boring you again, but I would like to know the name of SS3 CD-R Writing module ; As someone told me in this forum, maybe this module is missing in my installation, though it appears on About popup with version : 3.0.00.14040 Apart "Format" and "bit rate" lists stiil empty, I have now this SonicStage error : "An invalid argument was encountered" after closing "CD Importing Format (My Library)" popup. I run Windows XP/SP1 on a A115B VAIO laptop , I would prefer avoiding to upgrade to SP2 if possible. It is a french version, so all Sony stuff is in "Fichiers Communs" instead of "Common Files" (but this directory exists too). Any idea ? Thanks.
  2. Hi kurisu , I have followed your instructions ( I should have been looking at the pinned topics before posting, this time I have not, sorry for that). format and bit rate windows are still empty, and error message is still there. but cd reading test has completed successfuly, I don't remember that it was ran before. I 'll investigate Sony advice further. Anyway, thank you very much for your help.
  3. Hi, I'm still not able to import CDs into Sonicstage 2.3 library, on my computer running Windows XP/SP1 importing audio files works. error message is : "an error has occured while preparing to import the CD". Are the driver used to import audio files (omg format) and the one used to import cd tracks (oma format) the same ? Sony support told me to unselect entries in msconfig start tab then reselect them one by one, but I had not success with it. Thanks for any help.
  4. Thanks for your help CD-R Writing Module is already listed in "About SonicStage" popup , with version 2.3.00.1120 is that version ok ? could it be another audio codec interfering with this module ? I have seen on Sony site that default setting of CD Recording Format is ATRAC3 132kbps (it appears on "Recording" popup) maybe other formats are not allowed for netmd ? anyway, the problem occurs even when my netmd is not connected to my laptop. By clicking "Parameters" button on this popup, "CD Recording Format 'My Library)" popup shows up, but it is completly blank. same problem with Tools/Options/ CD Recording / Recording Format/ Select Format" too (it opens the same blank popup). The problem is that I 'm able to import and burn individual files on my NetMd with SonicStage, but I can't import a whole cd into library at once. Format conversion of imported files works (I can choose between 3 diifferent bit rates for ATRAC3). SimpleBurner does'nt work at all , since it accepts CDs or image files only. 5. Hi everybody, I have a problem on my vaio a115b (windows XP /SP1 / Sonicstage 2.3 upgrade / MD SimpleBurner 2.0) : I can burn individual files on my mz-n707 netmd with Sonicstage , but I can't import CDs into Sonicstage library ( real CDs or images created with Nero Image Drive) same error occurs when trying to burn with MD SimpleBurner ; listening files to burn or files on netmd works. error message is : "an error has occured while preparing to record the CD" I have noticed that CD Recording Format tab in recording parameters window is empty (both recording format window and bit rate scrolldown list) : is this ok ? I have tried to disable Nero and re-enabling Windows imapi burning service, without success . btw, I have the same problem than many others on this forum with Sonictage 2.3 on my desktop computer running Windows XP / SP2. Thanks in advance for your help.
