hey thanks for fixing that for me. just in case i want to change the picture later, is it possible that i can do it myself, or will u have to fix it for me again, lol. i don't really understand the many options in "My Controls", and to be honest it doesn't really matter to me, i don't really be in the forums that much. i haven't yet sold the unit, but by the end of this week i should have. i don't plan on getting another md, especially not a hi-md cuz the battery life is not so great, and they sure look a bit bulky and it's not something that i need. also, i'm getting kind of tired of music or i'm just not as into it as i used to be. i was thinking about leaving the format and going with the ipod, but the fact that battery life is even worse, there's no point. md is a great format, but it could be better. since i'm usually home, i'll just listen to music on the computer and won't have to carry my music with me.

i would send it to u, since ur not far away, i'm in new york and ur in maryland, but since i'm about to sell the minidisc to someone, who doesn't care about the imperfections the minidisc has right now, their still willing to buy it off of me. thanks for caring though. by the way, what is an avatar, i can't find that word in the dictionary.

i don't know much about md, but i know some stuff. i've owned about 5 md's so far. i usually just read and don't give opinions. the mz-nh1 is the top-of-the-line md. it's thinner than the mz-nh900. the battery life of the mz-nh1 is less than the mz-nh900, since the mz-nh1 doesn't not come with a AA battery adapter like the mz-nh900, which allows it to give is more battery life after the removable battery wastes. the mz-nh1 has more options in its menu, like time-stamp, which allows it to record the day u recoded an analog or digital recording or a mic recording. i don't have either one. i don't have an hi-md basically. people have complained about many problems these new models have been having. search around this forum and u learn about them. don't mean to discourage u. about the mz-rh910, i believe it has not come to the states yet, it already came out in japan this month. i believe it's next month that they will come over here.

one of the easy ways that i have been able to record in digitally is using the playstation 2 digital out jack. i tried recording audio from a music dvd with the dvd player deck and it said no copy, so i placed it on the ps2 and sure enough i got digital in and recorded it well. try it. it works.

i want to know if i'm going to need a transformer to use a minidisc that was purchased in japan, in the united states.

Thank you for clearing that up. I've just been beasting to get this n910 and i found it on ebay. one in blue and the other in silver. the blue one is uk and the silver in Maryland. do u know if there is difference between the headphone output between the minidisc sold in europe and uk. I always thought the uk was part of europe. lol. confused here. Another question. do u know if 4mW is much of a difference from 5mW and if i had a minidisc with a 4mW amp, would it sound loud enough with the shure e3's

Your right, that's what the manual says, but why is it that on the equipment browser it says 5mW+5mW, it used to say 4mw+4mW, until i made noticed of that, and someone changed it to 5mW+5mW, I thought it was you. So what is the headphone output in Japan then. It doesn't specify for which country the respective output goes to. Another query. Is it in the UK that the headphone output is 2mW+2mW and not in europe like i assumed.

i see that kurisu noticed and edited the mz-n910 specs on minidisc.org after my discovery. that's great. since he put 5mW+5mW, i'm guessing that's only in japan and not in the uk and europe. not to ask for more editing, but it would be nice to let the reader know in which country the respective specs go to. i.e. let everyone know 5mW+5mW belongs to japanese model minidiscs and 2mW+2mW or whatever it really is, belongs to the uk and europe since those are the only two other places, besides japan, where this specific minidisc is sold.

i've looked into it, but never really considered it. when the nh1 came out I loved it cuz it was like the n10 but in hi-md. when i saw that it had a lithium-ion battery, but that was removable i was happy and exited. but when i saw the battery life, i said, wooo, heck no. Also since a lot of people who bought this unit in particular were reporting problems with uploading and a bunch of other problems, i decided not to invest in that. the 2nd gen. units look nice but again, battery life, at least for me, is not so great. the units look nice, but not good enough for me. they seem a little bit bulkier as well. perhaps in the future they will slim them down. maybe then i'll invest.
