Thank you Karisu for your welcome and for your advice. Do You mean that the 2nd gen Hi-MD cannot use any media less than 1 gig, but that it can still upload my old recorded media onto the PC?

Hello all, this is my first visit to this forum. I currently have a MZ-R90 which I have used in the past for recording live music. I have been happy with the quality of the recordings. Now I am looking into upgrading to a newer model which will do high quality recording and will also allow me to upload the music to my windows xp laptop, with the idea of converting it to CD. Recently I have been looking at the latest models, eg MZNH700. However I have just heard today of the the 2nd generation Hi-MD units coming out shortly. I would appreciate your wisdom on what best to buy. Thanks.
