  2. VERY GOOD INDEED. THANKS FOR THE TOOL!!!!
  3. That's right. especially when you need professional sound (i.e. a musical, a concert, a movie of your own) Anyway, you HAVE to know that you are recording something in two different formats and then you just have to figure out clues that can make you know where to start synchronizing. I think that is pretty obvious, that is why in movies they have these little boards with numbers that are used by editors and directors at the beginning of scenes.
  4. Yeah maybe they are... why don't you buy them through ebay?
  5. I've just ordered a 10 unit box from ebay... I haven't opened them yet so I don't really know what they look like inside, but they look quite differen't, don't they? [attachmentid=740] Front View [attachmentid=741] front/rear view
  6. Onkyo Hi-Md Decks have Optical Input-Output and they are old-Md Standard. If you want to upload Digital Recordings use Marc's HiMdRenderer program availabe in the download section of this forum. It's excellent and tracks recorded using Optical Line in CAN be uploaded.
  7. I got it through Minidisco.com (I think that the link I got there was minidisc.org and then it lead here) Initially I inscribed to sign up the upload petition for NetMd... Oh How I hated Sony. I felt so frustrated that they had done that to MD I loved the format so much and I thought they were killing it. When I found this forum I saw that there were others like me and I felt part of something. Now with Hi-Md I've learnt so much. I followed every step of Marc's Hi-Md Renderer Project and Now I check it every morning and every eveining. Guys, you are like my second family...
  8. Guys, Onkyo has released two Hi-MD Decks so far: The first one is here: http://www.audiocubes.com/popup_image.php?pID=1334 And the second visble here: http://www.audiocubes.com/popup_image.php?pID=1333 Both decks are available for delivery WORLDWIDE in www.audiocubes.com Sony has released THREE Hi-Md Home systems so far .. The three of them can be purchased through www.minidisco.com. Here they are: http://www.minidisco.com/home-pro-car-home-car-md.html A friend of mine has just bought one of these sony Hi-Md Decks and it arrived to Chile (south America) last week. It's awsome! I want to buy an Onkyo deck, but now I don't really know what to do...
  9. Well I use Adobe premier and VEGAS VIDEO (this last one is very cool) You can download a trial version from download.com, or **please don't suggest illegal filesharing as a method for obtaining software** .. In general it is very easy to mix video and audio and synchronize it..
  10. Oh How strange! What video editing software are you using??
  11. C'mon, Marc! It's excellent. I've used it and it really works. Now We just need the software to get rid of Sonicstage. I'd love it! Anyway. USE IT!!
  12. Well I had the same problem. I had large collections of Cds that were stolen and I had them recorded in traditional MD's. I could recover all my collections using WinNmd. The application allows you to look at the contents of your minidiscs and choose individual tracks to upload. The process is done in real time, but the it is extremely easy and, if you choose the option, the program can record your tracks directly in mp3. download it from: http://winnmd.net/ ps. It's not a free program, but it is cheap and you can support the author to continue doing this amazing projects.
  13. Let me tell you that I have recorded three musical productions already using my MZ NHF800 and the results have been amazing. The first one was recorded in HI SP and the sound quality was astounding. At that time there was no wav converter and the Hi-Md renderer was only a project which worked like a charm. I then entered this forum, learned more, and recorded two musical productions for video editing using Linear PCM. One of the productions is "Les Misérables" a broadway musical. The DVD that came out had the best sound I have ever heard of a live production. I really hope you can use it and experience the easiness and superiority of sound to DAT.
  14. THANK YOU SO MUCH I an using the software already and it works like a charm!! Thank you so much
  15. CONGRATULATIONS. I've been using MD's from the very beginning. I admit that I have been obsessed with the format and I am SO frustrated that it isn't the standard recording media today. Anyway, when I got to this forum I saw that there were people like me around the world. Intelligent people who were informed of the media and were willing to and wanted to share their information with the rest of the people... Thank you so much administrators.. and congratulations!!!! Let's become number one!!!!!
  16. If you feel confident with it DON'T upgrade. I found out that the improvements are mainly for uploading capabilities and you don't have to use any wav converter. However The function of importing tracks in folders that you create and SonicStage puts them in albums at random and yoou have to create playlists which is VERY time consuming so if you feel happy with 2.3 just download the sony wav converter (or Mark's Hi-Md renderer) and the Sony Minidisc Label Projec program: http://www.sonydigital-link.com/DNA/HiMD/HiMD.asp?l=en And enjoy your Hi-Md...
  17. It's true. The real pronunciation should be Ah (as in CAT) trak - try to do it guys, I heard it in the video of this sony guy speaking about the new HI-MD recorders.
  18. For people in Canada here is the link to blue H-Md's http://www.minidisc-canada.com/shopexd.asp?id=435 good luck
  19. I NEED THEM PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  20. Common sense is just what they need.. I would give them a 1TB common sense HiMd. I doubt, however, that they would know how to use it.
  21. COOL, but I tunes manages music with a proprietary format (much like Oma files) So I doubt they would go for ATRAC.
  22. You can try the Hi-Md calculator to get the most of Hi-Md recording http://ravn.net/md/hi-mdcal.htm
  23. Yeah, I agreee with you. They SHOULD advertise and be proud of one of the greatest products in the history of mankind. However Sony is one of the most chaotic companies in the world. All their different sections seem to work selfishly and some sections seem to ignore and to discriminate MD... I really hope the new adminidtration does something for the format... I don't want to let this baby die... there would be a lot of sad "parents" . I love Md's
  24. the solution is Nero, to convert the tracks to wav. However, if that's not the solution to you, use the Simple Burner option Soes anyone know any podcast devoted to md players?
