  1. Same problem here.... I didn't had that much problems on SS3.2. Is there any major difference between these two versions? I mean, appart from those new encoding options, the audio quality on the other codecs remains the same? I have two computers, I took some time ago one of them to be fixed (some mobo problems) and I kept the other one. The one that I kept has now SS3.3 and is a pain in the ass with all the p2p mp3 files, while the old 3.2 version didn't annoy me that much...And caught songs and entire folders by the classical drag&drop way, the new 3.3 doesn't catch any more than one song per time...I was happier with the old 3.2 Again, is there any encoding quality difference? Or, at least, do you know how to fix these problems? Thanks!
  2. Yep, I know that, I don't bother in trying to transfer "just as is" mp3 files, but converted to atrac3plus 64kbps...What I mean, is when I try to transfer an imported mp3 file, I mean, transfer transcoding it onto Atrac3Plus, it just won't let me to do so. It just let me when its origin is .wav or in a very few cases also .mp3 Anyone knows why? Thanks!
  3. Well, I downloaded some songs from the internet and wanted to copy them onto my NH600D unit, but I can't! I have to transcode them first onto wav, before trying so. It keeps saying something like "not allowed to transfer.." and lists the whole list of songs that it couldn't transfer, misteriously all of them mp3. Maybe there is something else that I didn't notice, or I missed... but I'm not sure...Why so? Do you think I should remove the whole database of tracks from my computer? Thanks!
  4. Yep, I think so.... I did it once, and it worked for me. No more albums to add yet, I already copied everything. Btw, lastly SS is giving me errors when copying some songs to the MD (mp3->atrac3plus64), it refuses to encode it, it just says something like "no such rights", or so...I'll tell you whenever I try it again. I don't know why some songs do that, but it's a pain in the ass to copy them to wav, so SS stops moaning about them. I lose btw all the ID3 info, when I do it that way... I mean, it's not just 2 or 3 songs, it's a big bunch of them...About 4 out of 10 do go wrong... (sorry again for my english, i have a poor grammar and vocabulary...) BTW, if you feel I should open a new post for this issue, just let me know and I'll do so
  5. Well, the playlist way seems to work properly...So I guess that's a nice way, and not too hard, either... Thanks!
  6. Thanks, but now I can disable it...Wich one would you take? Wich one you think may play the songs with more quality, ffdshow, or the integrated one with sonicstage?
  7. I guess that's the problem when you install SP2 on a non-fresh install...Unpredictable errors may happen whatever the thing you are doing. I would reinstall XP (Sorry) and if you want so, the SP2 just before any other program (even some drivers, if you can!).
  8. I just noticed when I'm transfering songs onto my MD, that as soon the conversion to Atrac starts, a little icon of FFDShow filter (wich I installed for watching movies btw), pops up on my tray, until it finishes the encoding of the song, it goes away for a second, and comes back again as soon the next song is started to be encoded: Why so? Doesn't have SS its own encoder? Why use windows preferred? I have no complains btw, I like FFDShow, but I was just wondering...
  9. Thank you vey much indeed. That's all what I needed to know
  10. Yeah thank you, I'll try that, I'll let u know in a while...The thing that amazes me's that some weeks ago, with SS 3.1 I was able to do so :?
  11. Well, that seems to actually import the songs, but I'm talking of about 70 songs in a folder...And they don't get into the playlist, they just show up by artist if I look by artist or stuff like that, but i'd like to get'm altogether, so I can send them to my HiMD onto a group... Fanks, btw!
  12. Hey, hello there! I'm just having a weird problem: When I drop a bunch of files (mp3) from my explorer folder to the sonicstage program, to import them into a playlist I already created, only a random one is added to the list. I don't know what happens to the rest of them. If I repeat the proccess exactly, any other random file will be added to the playlist. What's going on? What's the best way of importing whole folders to SonicStage 3.3?
  13. Ishiyoshi, I've just read your post. I had an old remote (just buttons) from my MZ-N510, wich was working pretty good for my MZ-NH600D, but now it's broken. I've been looking for a new one, and I found a not-so-expensive RM-MC35ELK on ebay...But I asked to the seller about the compatibility with my player (as far as mine wasn't on the list, neither any X600 model) and he just replied "no...sorry". Are you sure that this remote will work on my NH600D? Cuz it's not very expensive... Thanks a lot!!
  14. Hi, will this codec work on a crappy NH600D unit? Thanks
  15. My HiMD(NH600D, the cheapest one, I guess) doesn't seem to support 105kbps, though. Or at least, it is not listed on the codec list on my Sonicstage 3.2
  16. Hi there, I just bought an MZ-NH600D minidisc, it just arrived today. But well, i'm getting lost with the few new codecs(well, I know it is not the WHOLE range, just a few new ones)... 'Till now I used to tranfer songs into LP2 format, as I said earlier this post, but now I do have some new formats in ATRAC3Plus, wich I never used...I've got the ATRAC3Plus formats (I guess that, it only marks them when they're just ATRAC3) of 64kbps and 48kbps, and also the 256kbps wich I guess it's gonna be the SP codec...If i've been using the ATRAC3 LP2 'till now, should I change it to another one? Like 64kbps? I heard this one sounds pretty well... Even better than the old LP2? Thank you very much PS: Right now every single mp3 that i use as starting base is quite high quality, 192kbps+ or ogg or ape (reencoded to wav, of course)
  17. Hi there, i'm not sure wether this has been posted yet or not...I have an old MZ-N510 unit, and at the beggining i used to play songs with the lp4 codec(66kbps), but i after a time, i found out that the stereo quality wasn't good at all (well i know i'm not saying anything new), so i decided to use the lp2 codec, @132kbps wich delivers a quite good quality. However, some songs still sound almost the same...Some of them are originally mp3@112 or 128kbps. Do u know roughly how a comparison between quality delivered/bitrate in mp3 and ATRAC3 (non plus) should be? For example, wich is better to use to encode an mp3@128kbps to ATRAC3, LP4 or will i notice it? And what about an mp3@160kbps? Sorry for my poor english
