  1. Instead of changing the value, you should ADD the value and the key: If you don't have the key "Version" or the key "SonicStage Shared Library", simply add the key ADD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Corporation\SonicStage Shared Library Then add in "SonicStage Shared Library" the string "Version", give it the value "2.1.5.02.08220" or so. Close Regedit and you're done
  2. AllRight! Problem solved.. how.. see below: First follow all 4 steps in the FAQ then add the following step (i my case) to remove the programs from the add/remove list that did not removed. Still i get the warning "An installation support file ..... could not be removed. Unspecified error." but the SS 3.1 (netinstaller) install works! Perhaps someone can add this step to the FAQ, when you get the same error. I had to search a lot before i found this thread.
  3. I sorry to say "I have the same problem". I used the FAQ, but i can't uninstall any of the SonicStage 2.0 software. 2 days ago i installed the Sony CD that came with my NH600. I thought this where the newest software... i was wrong. Unfortunaly i can't uninstall the software in the add/remove section of Windows XP (SP2). The error i get when i try to install any of the programs: I think the conversion to 8.3 names is wrong.... When i search the {something} string in the registry i can't find it. The main problem i have now is that i can't install any of the software anymore. Sorry to open this post again, but i can't find the solution in the FAQ's as stated.
