  2. Interesting little microphone. Spying anyone? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5783012736&rd=1
  3. I was trying my hand at fixing my assumed broken MZ-NF610 and I came across this site which can find a service manual for your MD player. I browsed the forums and found different model numbers and they all have service manuals on this site. Hope this info helps anyone. http://www.eserviceinfo.com/ postscriptum: There are *huge* sections on test mode in each manual.
  4. I found an alternate code to enter "test" (service) mode. I set the main device to hold, pressed "stop" and put in >> >> << << >> << >> << group- group- and then let go of stop to get in. Then I went back and put in the old codes I had before I messed with service mode and now it works like it did before. So, I guess my issue is done. Thank you very much for your help!
  5. Right. But I tried the same code I used the first time to try to get in after I messed my device up.
  6. Hm. But then how did the N505/N707 codes work on my NF610?
  7. Thank you very much for replying. (Not realizing what it would do to my unit) I used the N505/N707 codes (hold vol- and press > > < < > < > < pause pause) to get into the service menu and then used the instructions to add features. Once I removed the battery, I could no longer access the service menu through the code. And how does the service manual help me reset my device to its factory settings? Again, thanks a lot for responding! -boaf
  8. Hey, I was stupidly messing with my MD player in service mode and I messed something up. So when I want to go back into service mode, the code doesn't work. It plays fine, but I can't change the sound type, play mode, etc. It just shows useful and option. Does anyone have an idea? Thank you very much for any info or hlep. -boaf postscriptum: Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I had no idea where to put it.
  9. That worked perfectly. Thank you very much!
  10. So, I installed SS 3.1 and did everything it said to do. I restarted, plugged in my MD player with a blank in and open up SS. I click on transfer to Net MD (my model is a MZ-NF610) and select about five or so tracks to move onto my device. I click the move button (whatever it's called) and it starts converting the first track and then just stops doing anything at 51% (sometimes it's a little less sometimes it's a little more). After that it just keeps flashing the converting thing and showing how much time is left, which keeps rising with every flash. Does anyone know what's going on?
