  1. Well if you select 256 kbit/s lossless aal then you have a lossless´quality on the harddisc (Computer) to play and burn on cd again lossless and for transfering to a player it will extract the 256 kbit/s information. You will not get lossless on your player at the moment. Imagine that you have a lossless file and a 256 kbit/s a3+ file. If you convert a 256 kbit/s aal into 256 kbit/s a3+ then really no conversion is done because when you converted it by ripping the cd. That´s the reason why it´s so fast. Only if you want to convert to another bitrate than 256 kbit/s it will be converted and takes more time. What i want to know is how all you guys delete a sampler from your hd player?? Thanks Tom
  2. I didn´t try but i think it works. We tried this with a Nw-E99 and 256 kbit/s. The files on the player have the size like 256 kbit/s. So i think lossless playback is not possible with e99. Maybe with the hd players. I have to try. Why is it possible to convert oto 352 kbit/s and not possible to rip a cd in this format? Where´s the reason? Is it possible to use 320 Kbit/s with hd5? With ss3.2 it was not. Sorry didn´t see. But hei!!! Is there now the possibility to show the tracks sortet by albums on the hd players??? Seems not. I tried but it´s the same choices. Sort by Artists. Or Playlists. This is the last shit!!!!! Why does that not work??? Oh man. Well did anyone try to transfer a wma on a HD5? CU all. Tom
  3. The File Size is the same as a3+ with 256kbit/s. I think the lossless playback is only possible with ss 3.3 itself. Or newer hardware players. Maybe with firmware upgrade? I think the method is to have it lossless because of burn a lossless cd again e.g. Tom
  4. Hei guys!! SS 3.3 is there!!! www.support-nwwalkman.com I will install it today!! CU tom
  5. Ok. Once again. I don´t want to burn a cd with SS 3.2. I never tried to burn a cd. I just want to hear 48 khz wavs in best Quality on my HD5. You can make 48 khz Sampling rate MP3s. I did it with WinLame. You are right that i can try to burn a gapless cd with foobar, nero what else. But then foobar or nero has to convert it to 44,1 khz. And this is only possible with more or less Qualityloss. Did you understand me now? ATRAC3+ has no support for 48 khz. So it will not be possible hear the sounds gapless without converting it to 44,1 khz. Now i have the mp3s with 320 kbit/s and i´ll keep this now at the moment because the gaps are very small. And the focus is on the sound quality. Bye Tom
  6. Oh really?? I never recognized that....Sorry. Seems that there are some things still to improve..... So cu Bye!! Tom
  7. It will play more than 15 Hours in A3+ with 256 kbit/s.... come on.... CU Tom
  8. Hi!! It is compareable because both do a downsampling from 48kHz to 44.1 kHz. Nero also has to do this when i want to wright an Audio cd. And SS3.2 has to do the same if i want to have A3+ files. But ss3.2 does this very bad. That´s the difference. I do not concern the wrighting on CD. Of course it seems to be better gapless with nero. How to burn wavs on Audio cd with SS3.2? Not important. The source files are not lossy. It´s wav with 48 Khz. With MP3 it´s possible just to encode the 48 kHz files and the keep being in 48 Khz. Cu Tom
  9. Mp3 with 48 kHz is possible without conversion. A3+ not possible with 48 kHz. So you mean the only chance is to burn a gapless cd and rip it again. Well ok. But then nero or anything else has to convert to 44,1 kHz. Maybe they make it better than SonicStage.... I will see. At the moment i accept the small gaps. The sound with 320 Kbit/s MP3 with 48kHz is perfect and it works so far... I´ll see. Thank u!! Tom
  10. Hei ALL!! I want to sort/clean up my packages folder. If i do the function of cleaning up then still there are some empty folders which has no name. What is the Optimized files folder? I found some new recoded songs in there. I started one by double click. But it said in SS 3.2 that it´s a 132 Kbit/s ATRAC3 song. But if i look at the filesize it could never be 132 kbit/s. Whats going on? Are all the SEPERATE Albums there listed as SEPERATE Folders? How is the organisation?? I have a mixture of file with and without copy protect, because of old and new ripped cds. Is there a possibility to find out which files have a copy protect and which not?? Do i always have to use SS3.2 for checking this? Is there a possibility to kill the copy protect in one large step? I wrote that it works if you reencode it to the same format without a copy protect. But is it then recoded or is just the copy protection "filtered away"? Thank u!!! Tom
  11. Hei All! I have some Wav-Files with 48Khz Sampling Rate. But i saw that ATRAC cannot play/encode Sampling Rates except 44,1 kHz. Although i read this i tried to import the Wav-Files and it worked!! Then i tried to change the Format/Codec to ATRAC3plus with 256 kBit/s. AND: I worked!! But i transfered it to my HD5 and it sounds a little bad. Much worse than the same sound konverted by a better program. Is the Sampling rate Converter of SS 3.2 so bad?? So i tried to make MP3s with an external Software. Still in 48 KHz Sampling Rate. I imported then to SS3.2 and transfered it to my HD5. I workes well but i have no gapless playback. It seems to be not possible with the mp3 format. Does anyone have a better solution to have gapless playback AND good sound quality? Thanks a lot!! Tom
  12. Hi!! You can select all tracks in my library and sort them by import date/time. Then you will always have the last imported files. Tom
  13. Hi!! You can fix the Problem with "The Rolling Stones" under R if you give an initial inside the album options. you have to do it manually....not automatic. Lindijones
  14. Hi!!!! I try to answer very short ok? First: I think you have to make a Playlist and then you can move the Tracks of all albums into this list. You can still see album and the Artist in the Playlist. I think it is diffucult/impossible to see the albums then inside the Player/HD5. Thats the only chance not to loose the album information. Second: Yes you can. In the Check out settings you can select a permantent setting what should happen with the musicfiles if you transfer it to the player. Just choose 64 kbit/s. Then transfer all the files you want to have after that in low quality. So change the setting back to e.g. 192 kbit/s and then transfer the high quality tracks you want on your player. Third: I never tried this but it should be possible now with SS3.2 if you have ripped all without CopyProtect. Or just with MP3s. If you have more questions just ask. Tom
  15. Hei!! I thought that too!! But i tried to bring some MP3s in my HD5. How to change the Order of playing in the MP3Filemanager? Is it possible?? I tried to move it simple but nothing happens in the player.... I think this is only readable for the Flash players!! So the HD5 cannot see this Groups?? Hows it with the order? Please help!! Thanks Tom
  16. Hei!! It´s right, you cannot use an A to A cable to fill up your player with music or to use it as a HDD. It´s just for the cams. I think it is like that because of any docking stations or cables of the camera. The vaio pocket plays the role of a "Pc" so have a normal USB plug for the cams.... U need mini usb to A. (included but short) I´m not shure if could make it longer with another cable... Tom
  17. You said something about to register the player via internet to use it on up to 5 PCs?? I didn´t have such a procedure and with my e99 i never had problems on other PCs with SonicStage.... What is it exactly? Thank u Tom
  18. Hi All!! I have many old Minidiscs. Means recorded with normal ATRAC (not 3 not plus) via optical digital cable. Is it possible to copy them to SonicStage 3.2 and then transfer them to my new HD5? I thought because the new SS has no DRM anymore...??? Well just need a HI MD Walkman? Thank u!! Tom Linder
  19. hei!!! i have the same problem. On every hotline sony says that there will be an update because of this in a new version of sonicstage. The version 3.2 is still the same thing. But: You can install the Mp3 File Manager on your HD5 and there you can see the whole albums...and you cann also delete them!!! Also the ATRAC Albums!!!! Just try and tell me!!!!! Tom
  20. Hei All!! Just wanted to say that the Mp3 Filemanager also works with HD5. But HD5 cannot see the "Groups". The Mp3s are just listed in "Albums" like they have in the ID3 Tag. So ok if you have well taged mp3s!! Have fun!!! tom

  22. Hei thats right!!' My e99 plays all the bit rates!! i think/hope we have to wait for the software/firmware updates.... so let´s wait... thanks tom
