Hi There, I have some old OMG files that are original recordings of my band's rehearsals. Since recording them i have upgraded Sonic Stage a couple of times. They were probably converted once before but have misplaced the wav files or deleted them accidentally. Now when i try there seems to be an issue with rendering or converting these files. I think it has something to do with authentication but can someone suggest anything?

Hi there, Are there any live mic recording hard disk products available yet? I've been looking but can't find any Hard Disk products with stereo mic inputs. I'm still using my Hi-MD but come across memory issues with quality recording in PCM for a 3 hour session (i have to use 2 x 1G MDs). Regards

I changed lap tops recently, had to reload Sonic Stage 3.3 (from full installer, I have a firewall that prevents me from installing 3.4 over the web) Now I need to do my first transfer after a rehearsal and I cant do it due to the message in the Topic Description above. Can you help me?

I had this problem last night. One file when transferring would come up as internal error, it was about 90mins long (almost 1G), The thing is i would have rather edited in the computer but if you cant get it in the computer then that makes it pretty hard doesn't it!!!!! So i did what you did, broke the file down into smaller files by putting in track marks. All files transferred successfully and I was able to edit in the computer, no probs now. I'd hazard a guess that a 900Mb file is quite a difficult task to handle with buffers, RAM and cache memory in any computer, a long time ago I read some where that it's best to transfer without any other applications open, this suggests to me that transferring files uses a lot of resources so best to free them up. Let the software deal with the files in smaller chunks. Dont panic.

Hi there, I'm looking to download software that i can use fade tracks in and out for a CD. The tracks are originally recorded in open mg then converted to wav. The wav files i would import into this software and create a CD - i have found some applications that do this but i dont have burning rights - hoping there's some other share ware available. Can you point me in the right direction?

Recording live rehearsal, stereo mic into NZMH900. Usually have to EQ after recording before burning onto CD, is there any adjustments (apart from recording level) I can make to separate frequencies using the Hi-MD recorder or would I need to pre-amp to EQ?

" export it as WAV" is this done by saving as wav in my back up tool or do I use the converter tool file by file?

guy in the shop showed me SS3.1 with a drop down menu that show options for burning atrac3 CD and also burning audio CD (formats other than atrac3). He was using a Sony VAIO computer - please dont tell me I need a Sony computer to manage live recording files using SS3.1 to burn onto an audio CD that can be played in any CD payer!??? Using help and the manual say that I need a Sony VAIO in certain applications.

Cant remember where I read about recovering rights so I'll try this forum... live recording with mic, then transfer to PC 1, keeping what I think are the originals in the HiMD player (MZNH900), then transfer to PC 2. but when connected to PC2 and try to edit either in SS or in the HiMD itself it tells me the track is from the PC (PC1?) and I cant edit it. What is the process of recovering rights so I can start to enter track marks on PC2 and then burn copies of live recordings (in Audio CD format?) ? I want my HiMD to always keep the rights to edit....

I plug in the stereo mic into the Hi-MD recorder and I can hear the disc spinning during quiet parts of the recording. Is there a cable i can use to separate mic from being directly connected to recorder? I drop the sensitivity of the mic which works quite well but I prefer sensitive setting for quality.

dont have admin access so installer aborts when goes and seeks Codecs from internet. So I downloaded it manually as it suggests but still the installer tries to go out to internet which prompts for my password which stops the intaller dead in its tracks. I want to thank the guy that took the time to make it available without using internet during the install process but for me it didn't work. wondering if someone found a way around it? I've got a rehearsal in 2 hours and I was hoping to save my atrac3's as wavs to can hand out CDs to the boyz
