Mmm ok - how can I find out which nVIDEA driver I am currently running? Thanks, Phil
-
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition - 5.1 - Service Pack 2.0 Pentium 4 - 2.8Ghz Processor 512MB RAM DirectX 9.0 nVIDEA Ge-FORCE Card What else do you need? Before we continue, I must reiterate that I do not have ffdshow installed, any problem HotFix so, is it now down to the video codecs? If so, I have divx installed... but don't really want to uninstall this as its "needed" by my system. Phil

When I click to uninstall divx its says its needed by my system and by uninstalling it it will cause problems... tried called Sony Got a very nice woman who understood my problem, logged the error message codes and will investigate and email me back. Any other help anyone can recommend? Tried reinstalling SonicStage but now it won't even try to convert some files. Phil

HI, Thanks for the help there. I am unsure as to what programs use divx - I have lots of media players... WinAMP, InterVideo WinDVD 4, WMP etc. How can I find out which programs use this .dll file? Will it harm my system to just delete this file? Aren't .dll files within the Windows Registry? Thanks, Phil

Tried both - I cannot install that update - it says that the Service Pack I am using is newer than the update and that I don't need it. Any other suggestions? Phil

Hi all, I am having major trouble when converting Mp3 files into .OMG ready to transfer to my Hi-MD. Any file I try gets to 54% conversion and then I get an error saying "omgjbox.exe has encountered an error and cannot continue" - I do not have ffdshow installed, any Windows HotFix updates that are known to cause errors, and I am using Service pack 2 of Windows XP Home I am using SonicStage 3.1 and have a Sony MZ-NH900 Hi-MD Recorder. Please help, - I seem to have no trouble uploading tracks I record on the recorder into SonicStage and then converting to WAV. Phil

Hi, I have WindowsXP - I expect I do have "ffdshow" installed although I cannot find out where - its not as simple as it being under the All Programs bar in the Start menu Where else can I find this ffdshow to solve exactly the same problem. Mine gets to 54% or around that then I get an error saying the program cannot continue... Please help Phil

Thanks - that's made it all a lot clearer. I was a registered user on here a few hours ago but tried to log-in and had to re-register. Also, the post I originally made has been deleted. Someone called "Volta" replied. It was about the same subject as this more or less. Thanks, Phil

Hi all, I know that Linear PCM Hi-Md recorded audio is a digital format but SonicStage 3.1 will only convert analog recorded audio to WAV - will it work with PCM? Apparently PCM is recorded in analogue then digitized - does this mean I can transfer and covert to WAV the PCM recordings? Thanks, Phil
