  1. If I were to go for the SP-BMC-3? What would be the advantage or disadvantages of the high sensitivity option...keeping in mind I mainly want to use them for loud recordings? Worth it, don't mind the etc $$ if it is! http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SP-BMC-3
  2. No! I would clip them onto my collar..probably??? Do i need a bat pack with my MD...or will the Attenuator do the trick??
  3. Cool thanks A440, those look good!! http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/.../item/SP-SPSB-9 Does anyone have any experience with these??? 12V - Will that be sweet to power my mics through the line in...I thought bat packs were 9v? I am a bit of a newbie witht this sort of stuff...but I am nervious about sneaking gear into venues so I want small stuff! The other option is their ATTENUATOR?? at $7 I might just chuck that in anyway?? http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/.../item/SP-ATEN-1
  4. Hi, am still undecided as to what will be the best mic for me... anyway I was thinking, I am 201cm tall (6'7") which is pretty dam tall, my head and often even my shoulders are clear above crowd level at a concert and I was wondering if there could be an advantage to this... any more advice as to what mics I should get? I have an RH10 - and I am thinking of ordering from Sound Professionals! I mainly want to record rock concerts...loud stuff! Oh, and I want some mics that are really small, easy to hide and where would be the best place to place the mics also? Cheers
  5. I don't care how much an ipod costs, they suck! In a country known for sheep, I certainly wouldn't want to be seen as acting like one! I take my MD over a 20gig ipod any day of the week!
  6. What’s the deal with the supplied earphones with the MZ-RH10 MD, I don’t understand why the cord is so short on one side…the long side ends up bunching up and looking ridiculous, and being a very tall person the remote hangs at about nipple level…it’s crazy! Can anyone explain the logic of the short cord on one side!
  7. We never get any of the good stuff odown here (nz), I had to order my MZ-RH10 MD from Hong Kong - $530 nz! Guess that's the price we pay for being so far away from everyone else!
  8. I guess I should wait for my MD to arrive before I start asking too many questions, thanks for clearing that up!
  9. Since the Attenuator is technically just a headphone volume control....could I use a MD remote as an attenuator?? Here's one selling locally and cheap: http://www.trademe.co.nz/structure/auction...asp?id=31804023
  10. Hi everyone – 1st time poster, I've been reading alot from here over the last few days. I have question about what is the best location to record a concert from! I do understand that it's highly dependent on what mic you're using, however I still can’t decide! Some people seem to be suggesting looking for a “sweet spot” in the audience – which is likely to be around the soundboard where the sound is being calibrated from. Yet prior reading suggests that you should stand as close to the source as possible..i.e. right in front of the stack! So what is it? If I had a pair of omni – ear bud mics…soundboard or stack? My MD hasn’t even arrived yet I haven't had a chance to experiment yet!
