  1. Yeah - I've even transferred some of these songs to disc before via SonicStage without a problem - it's just something that's gone kaput since installing the new SonicStage, it seems. Seb
  2. Thanks - I've tried the transfers on various settings, but I'll reinstall the latest version again, and use the File Conversion program first of all before attempting transfer. Hopefully that will be a good workaround, but it'd be interesting to find out why this has started happening in the first place! Thanks, Seb
  3. Posted this in the wrong forum as am clearly unable to read - hope someone can help - they'll have my undying gratitude! Sx Hi there - Sorry to be a first-time poster just coming on looking for help, but hopefully someone can give me a hand? I'm sure I've missed obvious answers out there somewhere, so I apologise if this is a complete no-brainer, but it's all just a bit bizarre and I'd like to think I'm not just a stupid novice with computers. I've had a Hi-MD (MZ-NH700) for a year or so now, and it's worked perfectly fine. My computer however got screwed up a little while back so I had a new hard drive installed and reinstalled Windows 2000 (don't like XP at all). Once it was fixed I downloaded and installed the very latest version of SonicStage and all seemed to be well. Anyways, a few weeks ago I was trying to transfer some MP3s onto an MD in Hi-MD mode using SonicStage. However the entire computer froze up during the conversion stage of the transfer and I had to Ctrl-Alt-Del in the end. I tried again a little while later thinking it was just a one-off, with no joy at all. I then tried simply transferring a single file, and this time it seemed to go through. However when I came to play the track back it was going at about 1.5 times the actual speed of the song, with occassional popping. OK if I was after dance remixes of my music, but not very helpful... I decided to uninstall the newest SonicStage and reinstall the Version 2.0 provided on the disc that came with my Hi-MD. I then used Simple Burner to transfer songs straight from CD via my computer. These songs worked absolutely fine. There was still no joy with MP3 transfer via Sonic Stage however. While going through Troubleshooting, I thought I'd had a breakthrough as the MP3s I was sending over were 520kbp, whereas the troubleshooting says 320 is the maximum. I then tried MP3s in 192 quality, and there was still no success at all. So basically, does anyone have any idea why my MP3s are not correctly converting and transferring onto my MD at stupid speeds all of sudden? Hope someone can help! Again this is only happening with MP3s - CDS are converting fine. Thanks, Seb
