if you get really stuck, and SS doesnt get your tunes automatically, you can go to the 'import music' option, and get it to search the hard drive for the files (or you can use windows search function to find ".oma" files first, so you know they are there...), although you might find that any compilation albums have been split into single tracks. hope ya didnt lose it...
  2. well, i know im just a newbie and all that, but i had a similar problem, in that after i installed SS3.2 according to the FAQ directions, my MD was not recognised. in despair, i got out my SS2.1 CD to go back to the old version that might work, expecting a giant stuff up and more issues, but what happened was that after installing SS 2.1, SS3.2 was still there, but now the computer recognised the MD! crazy huh? thanks to sony for days of fun!
  3. zoe, seems like we have been screwed in similar style. i cant believe no-one can shed any light on such a seemingly simple problem! (especially if the answer is that we are both just idiots (go on, say it...we can handle it!)) whats going on?
  4. Hi, i hope i'm not repeating a question excessively here, but there's an infuriating little thing that is happening when i try to transfer my tunes from Hi-MD (NHF800)to my computer. When i attempt to transfer tracks that have been recorded on to MD (either with SS2.1 or simple burner 2.0) using my computer (a toshiba satellite with XP pro), an error message appears informing me that they have in fact been recorded on another computer, and the recalcitrant fiend of a program refuses to transfer the tracks. This occurs with both SS2.1 and 3.2, which i have just downloaded, and its not the same problem as mr sean below.... It would be nice if i could do it, 'cos then i could condense a few of my small, old MD's on to one. Am i missing something, or is there a way around it? And is there a way to avoid this happening in the future? Is it just that SS and Simple burner dont talk to each other or have different computer id's? grateful for any clues... Scott.
