  1. I was looking for a new minidisk player since mine is shot, i currently have a net-md, mz-n10, and i was wondering what minidisks followed after it... what was it replaced by?

    thanks!

    go for Hi-MD

  2. Can you guys tell me your opinions or perhaps link reviews of these trhee players? i don't know which to get. does the n1 have a backlight on the unit not just the remote? im new to mini disc players thanks.

When let ppl help u decide what to buy, u should let know what's u proposed usage of the MD set: )

If u r buying as a player for listening to music, honestly I recommend U a good quality mp3 player, much easier to use, with competitive sound quality, If U really care about sound quality a lot, CD player would be a better choice.

If u r buying as a recorder for recording live concerts, yes, MD is a good choice. I recommend U get a HiMD instead of NetMD. It's nearly impossible to digital upload Net MD recorded music to PC.

    FYI.

sth U need to watch out when buying, N1 or N10, since new sets hard to find.

N1 got famous ribbon cable problem, dun buy if U r not strong in DIY repair... btw, no backlight on set

    N10, battery not replaceable.

N910, never use before, no comment

    Good luck, heh

  3. I'm using a MZ-N1, recording live concert.

Even if I set the Mic Sens to Low, still sometime got clipping when recording loud music, and applause

My mic doesn't have any buttons on.

I'd like to know besides the Mic sens low, is there any other method to adjust the recording level.

    Thanks, all!~

    wah...

    sorry to disturb u all.

just search thru the manual again, found it...

  4. Buy an mp3 player, with no moving parts. Thats a half-guaranty for being massive.

Btw., I read some initations to collect ourselves together with this same problem and write to Sony. It's too late maybe, this model is obsolete, but maybe it would be worth still. Any opinions?

    Cheers!

    sad.gif sony user...

Thank U very much for your long reply!

Actully, I have mp3 already. I buy MD only for recording purpose, wanna record some live concerts.

Those mp3s can use external mic are too expensive.

  5. This post is my experience in live recording:

I went for a concert today by Dr L Subramaniam. This was a fusion concert comprising of the following instruments:

I was using ECM-DS70P for 2 tracks and then switched to my old Aiwa stereo T mic..

On the aiwa mic(which costs virtually nothing), the sound is awesome.. Someone please explain this paradox..

    Hi, Veezhun,

what's the model number of the Aiwa mic?

I wanna get a low price small size stereo mic for live classical concert also.

    Thank you!

  6. i'd be getting a himd regardless. both of these models are getting on & have had problems, the recording head issue with the n1 & the lion battery in the n10. the repair costs for older models are a scandal imo.

Hey, could u pls say some more or give me a link for the recording head issue.

    I'm also thinking buying a N10 or N1

    Thank you tongue.gif
