In 9/22 CNET NEWS .com, an article entitiled "Tough choices ahead for Sony". In it, Stephen Baker, an analyst at the NPD Group, suggested that Sony cut low visibiltiy catagories including non MP3 portables. The Sony focus will be on flash players. Again, with the Sony restructuring, it doesn't look good for MD. MJW

Same here. It would have been a great bargain. There are some sites selling it for under $50 right now and maybe they will be dropping prices as kurisu indicated HI MD is the way MD is going. MJW

For $20, I just ordered one also. I also have a brand new unopened MZ-NF520D that I also just purchased for a much higher price that is past the return date and probably will sell. MJW

Hello and thanks for the fast reply. i checked the guide and it says that the remote I'm looking at the RM-MC37LT will work with the 520D. I may take a chance. The supplied remote is the MC36 according to the guide but it does not have AM which my wife wants. Thanks

Hello, Can anyone tell me if a RM-MC37lt, the AM/FM/TV/Weather remote standard on the 610 and 810 will work on the 520D? I had read that the AM ferrite antenna is built into the minidisc itself and not the remote, therefore this model remote would not work on the 520D. Someone else said that the AM antenna is built into the remote and it would work on any minidisc player that has a remote contoller standard. Thanks for any help. MJW
