  1. Hello, I tried the program today for the first time, uploaded about 600Mb in one shot using the program. They were all MP3s, mostly 320kbps or 256kbps VBR. I got the dreaded corrupt song beginnings on most songs too By the way, thanks so much for this very promising software. I hope I'll soon be able to use it!

    Cool keep us updated!
  3. Wow... Sorry, my mistake!
  4. You should now be able to get them at your local Sony Store.
  5. Because Sony seems to be saying that the firmware update is for "F" models only. Just checking...
  6. Are you sure you have an "F" model (with FM)?
  7. A small hiss with top of the line earphones (ex. Shure E4c's) would be normal for this kind of device. But if you're using the stock earphones and you hear a very audible hiss then no. You should ask for a replacement.
  8. You could also try plugging your device in another USB port. Try all ports on your computer until it works. If that still doesn't help, try using another computer to update the firmware. I have the E005F (Canadian model), I had no problems at all going from 1.00 to 2.00.
  9. Well, I bit the bullet today and headed over to Sony Store Canada to buy my new E005F It's everything I expected... excellent battery capability, excellent looks, excellent sound quality with my Shure E4Cs. I have to say, navigation is also very impressive for a one line device. It's intuitive and easy to use. I tired MP3 File Manager and guess what, it didn't work. When I tried to play my MP3s it kept on saying "CANNOT PLAY" for every track. I tried all sorts of bitrates. Then I tried SonicStage CP and all worked well! Oh well, not too bad I guess. File transfer was fast with SonicStage, not too big of a deal.
  10. I'm asking myself the same question. But after reading up on these units, I think the new E005F is the one to choose. Lightweight, small, decently priced for 2GB. Only thing that makes it hard to choose is the lack of a 3-line display. But then I think to myself, "Do I really need it?". No, I don't look at the screen all that much. Plus, apparently naviagtion is a breeze. And most importantly, it's the only one (so far) to offer fast direct USB charging without any cables, so no matter where there is a desktop/laptop, you can easily charge it (3 minutes for 3 hours fast charge). I think I'm going with this one!
  11. Can someone confirm that we can use MP3 File Manager with the E005F?
