  1. Hi there! Has anyone worked out an effective way to get a list of album titles (with alphabetically-ordered artist names), or even just a list of artists, from SonicStage? If you do, I'd be very interested to hear. It would be handy to be able to print out a list (even just a text file if not a spreadsheet) of one's music collection. Thanks! (Running SS CP 4.0)
  2. Here are the edited XML files, as requested a while back by danielbb90: [attachmentid=2054] These files have been copied directly from my successfully tweaked SonicStage 4.0 installation. I don't know how they would go in earlier versions. In any case, be sure to make a backup of your existing files before overwriting them! Thank you, Ishiyoshi, for posting this tip. xml.zip
  3. Hi there. (I posted about these cases in reply to someone's request in the Hi-MD section. I apologise for repeating this info but I thought that it would be more likely to reach those who who might find it useful if I posted here.) This will be of interest to all portable MD/Hi-MD owners looking for cases/storage. I just bought an MD hard case (with room for an MD portable and discs/accessories, even my Sennheiser PX-200s on top!) from a fantastic Ebay seller which comes with a BONUS small one-size-fits-all neoprene soft case. These two together are a steal at $9.95AUD + $6 bargain postage via International Priority Airmail. ($5 for Aussies.) I have seen these items online elsewhere for about $30 and $15 AUD respectively. See the item description with pictures at: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 This listing closes on 11 November but the seller will likely re-list if there are some left after that. There are currently 35 available. Graham, the seller, is extremely helpful and friendly and will post your item within 24 hours of payment. (Pay instantly with Paypal.) I can recommend him with confidence. Cheers!

  5. Hi folks Following Sony's closure of MD in Australia, I notice that Minidisc Australia is clearing Sony Hi-MD bundles at absurdlly low prices, starting at AU$125 for the MZ-NH600 bundle and going up to AU$229 for the MZ-NH1 bundle. The website states: "The lowest Hi-MD price ever seen! Sony is overstocked and we have been instructed to clear Hi-MD portables across the board and with the Bundle Pack at savings of at least 58% off RRP! These savings are strictly online sales only." This news will no doubt be more welcome by some than others.
  6. Hi there, fellow Hi-MD folks! This is my first post here and may be of particular interest to Australian readers. I am shortly to become the owner of a MZ-NH700. I ordered one online for AU$310 from a computer supplies shop in Byron Bay: www.e-shop.com.au While I was at it, I checked the price of their blank media and saw they will have them available at AU$3.82 (incl. GST) from 29th September. (No, that's not a typo!) SONY | HMD1G | HI MD 1GB DISC | australia For non-Australian buyers, you can place an international order but not online, according to their stated shipping policy: Shipping within Australia For orders shipped to Australian addresses we charge a flat Rate of $15 including GST regardless of the size of the package. Note that our couriers will require a signature. We are unable to ship to PO boxes. We do not currently offer a pickup service. International Shipping We do not accept online orders from outside Australia. Please call or email if you would like to order goods for shipping internationally. We will provide pricing on an individual basis. Remember too that non-Australian buyers can deduct 11% from the stated price for GST, which is only applicable in Australia. This dealer has been very friendly and helpful with my order and enquiries, replying promptly to my emails. I hope some of you find this post useful! Cheers vovobiscuit
