Thanks for the info. I have read elsewhere that computers will ignore the scms with digital out or in but will not make the track marks. I understand this as one has to manually make tracks marks on every song when recording from computer to md (without netmd and using optical out) and to save each song separately on the computer when recorded md to computer?

I need to transfer my md music to computer. Does anyone know if a optical input/output usb for my laptop will ignore the scms on my md music? Thanks
