  1. I happen to own a mz-dn430. It appears to work fairly well except for the fact that not of the music from sonic stage wants to transfer properly and no one can tell me how to fix it. Called Sony and was advised that the reason that I was having this problem was one of the following: 1. using an upgrade xp instead of professional or an oem 2. that not all cds allow you to transfer music to the player 3. need to change the file format of the music I really did not appreciate the first lame excuse. So, I got to wonder why Sony is still making this product if they are not going to support it properly. I spent $100- for what. As for the second excuse, most of the music I was trying to transfer was in mp3 format- As for the 3rd excuse, I tried to convert the file format, however, I still get the message. However, if I transfer music to the mz-dn430, all of the songs will transfer with no difficulties. Only problem is that you can only use stereo, no lp2 or lp4, and again what am I paying Sony for? There is no way to change the settings on the md player anymore. Maybe Sony needs to stop cutting corners and make a decent md player If anyone help with solution on how to change the bit rate in real player, I would appreciate it

    LP4 + Mono

I wish to understand why real player will not allow me to change the bit rate on my net md. I have a mz-dn430 and have tried to transfer music with sonic stage, but continue to get error, I have called sony and their only response was that have os is windows xp-upgrade and ahve acctually said that there was nothing that they could do for me. This has become a very frustrating issue for me because of the fact that if you can't call customer on the product that you bought an extended policy on and get help, who is going to help you. I have again, Sony feels they need to provide the world with products, however, not all these products are great and should have never been sold. It is time for Sony to stop resting on the past reputation of greatnes.
  3. I think that all these replies are right on the money. Sony needs to wake up and realize that sonicstage does not work properly with the minidisc player and the player need to work better in general. Sony also needs to listen to who the people who are using them have to say. In general , Sony needs to concentrate more on the products that they make well instead of making everything in the world great US. edit by atrain for size.
