  1. thx for the tips but i did not buy a mac to run windows through emulation again
  2. i don't need the player for recording or other professional stuff... i "just" need a portable device for my music! i always liked the feeling and the handling of a minidisc player so it came to my mind to buy one again. but if they are really incompatible with macs... :-(
  3. so there is absolutely no way to get a HiMD player work together with Mac os X? but it's true that you can use a HiMD player as a usb-mass-storage-device, isn't it? i mean, it would have been nice if you could store your mp3 files like that on your player without playing aroung with sonicstage! i used sonicstage with my old netmd-player and to be honest, i never saw such a crappy peace of sh...software (but i have to say, that i am not familiar with the new version of it...)
  4. hi there after one year with mp3 players (Sony NW-E95 and Creative Zen Touch 20gb) i am thinking of getting a minidisc player again! I am satisfied with my zen touch but i don't like the fact, that it is tied to the creative software... after sitting here for a couple of hours and thinking of what to do, the minidisc came to my mind! before the mp3 players i had a sony mz-r500 and a sony mz-n510 netmd player which did their work pretty well, so it came to my mind to buy a mdplayer again but i have some questions because after all that time i am pretty clueless regarding hi-md and all that stuff... i know that a hi-md player can be used like any other usb-stick (just plug it in and use it without any software) to store files on it but here is my question can i put mp3 files in that way on the player and listen to them? or do i need the software to transfere the mp3's i want to listen to? it would be pretty cool if i coud just put the files on it without the need for any software... and here is my second question i am working with mac os x because i was fed up with windows! so are there any problems relating minidisc and mac os x? or can i use the player witout any problems on my mac? it would be nice to get to minidisc again because i always liked the feeling and handling of my minidisc players (i know it sounds weird but it's the way i feel ) thx and regards to all Crimson PS: sorry for my bad english, but i am from germany and the english we learned in school is not really usable...
