  1. Yes, the recorded disks will play on my deck, if I remember correctly. But someone has already contacted about buying it and has said they're mailing me payment. If that buyer doesn't follow through, I'll be back in touch. Thanks for your interest. TED
  2. Hello all. I have a red MZ-R900 unit that will record but not play. Cosmetically and mechanically the unit is fine, but there must be some software issue. I tried to diagnosis it in test mode with no luck. I recently picked up a HiMD unit so I don't need to tinker with this one. Instead of recycling it, I figured someone here might know what they're doing. Includes external AA battery case. No other accessories included. $10 USD or best offer + shipping. I also have 3 NiMh gumstick batteries that I used with this unit. I bought these new but didn't use them much. I think I used the AC adapter mostly with the MD unit. 2 1400mAh and one 1250mAh. $10 USD or best offer shipped. It's been awhile since I used these so I can't remember all the specifics. I'm in Oregon but will ship internationally. Thanks, TED
  3. Unfortunately my R900 is acting very strangely, so I'm looking for a replacement. I use it for recording concerts and my band's practices, so I'm looking for an affordable portable with MDLP but not NetMD. Don't need all the accessories, just the unit. I'm in the US and can pay with PayPal. Thanks for looking, TED
  4. Thanks for the tip. Here in Portland, Oregon, I got four 5-packs of 80-min discs last Saturday. $5 each 5-pack. Only the 74-min packs are left.
  5. Is there an easy way to add a light that shows the existing battery power? I have a commercial 9v unit and never know whether the battery is still good or not. I don't find out my battery's dead until I hear my crappy recording. I'm thinking of building this DIY unit and that would be a handy feature. Thanks!
  6. Hey all. I just got a R900 recently, mostly to record my band's practices and concerts. When I hit record and let it roll, it starts a new track number every few seconds when we're not playing, but will usually record a single track while we play. After each practice, I wind up with about 65 tracks of silence and only a few of actual music. BTW, I'm using a 9V battery box in the line-in. I know the unit has Auto Time Stamp but I thought that was for 5 or 10 minute intervals. Any ideas? Thanks!
  7. I just got a portable recorder with MDLP (R900) for the first time and I'm looking for a deck with digital outputs to upload recordings to my Macintosh. Right now I use a JE-510. The JB940 looks good but is hard to find. Are there other decks that would work? Thanks!
