hello guys, i recently jump into hi-md frenzy a little while ago.bought myself an MZ-M10 and later upgraded to MZ-RH1.nice unit i must say. since the MD bug has infected me , i was wondering to buy another unit.an MD player only..Panasonic SJ-MJ95 which i saw in my local auction site. the thing is,i am such a noob in NetMD,MDLP.i did some research from this forum and the net..and somehow know a little bit about the SP, LP2 and LP4 format.my problem is, i don't know how to record CDs in SP. i've searched the forum but i can't seem to find how.from what i've read, converting using Sonic Stage merely creates 'fake SP' which is somewhat in LP2 quality.i also tried the MD simple burner.but the only option available for NetMD recording mode is LP2 and LP4...no SP.can anyone point out how i can create minidisc with SP inside? i would greatly appreciate for any help given. thanks

i'm sorry..but do i hear this right?RM-MC40ELK doesn't have group button?forgive me,i'm just a noob here.all i can see from the remote picture posted in this forum is only the front part, thus leaving me clueless as to what button it includes.i thought RM-MC40ELK is the most perfect remote.what a shame..is there any way around this?

Hi all, I got myself an RH1 recently and use it with RM-MC55ELK remote.the thing is,i've just noticed this.whenever i create new disk using SonicStage CP and play the disk with my RH1,the remote shows weird font.somewhat fancy font..and the alphabets are spaced from each other..like there's an empty space between them.this annoys me as it takes twice the time to scroll the song's name in the remote display i also have previous discs that i recorded with my MZ-M10(sold it already).those discs are ok.they didn't even show that weird font.i was wondering whether you guys have any idea at all?do i change the font setting in SS CP?how?is it just a matter with the 55ELK remote not displaying properly?and btw,no..i don't have any other remote to test this out.really appreciate it if you guys can help me out. thanks a lot.

Glad to know that it is fully compatible.how about the search button in the 55ELK remote.can it be utilized with the RH1?

Does anyone have the MZ-RH1 paired with the 55ELK remote?i know that some of the menus can only be accessed via the remote.so can anyone who have both the unit and the 55ELK remote confirm this * Remote Menu o Option + AVLS: AVLS Off, AVLS On. + Beep: Beep Off, Beep On. + Backlight: On, Off. + QuickMode: Quick Off, Quick On. + Disc Mode: MD, Hi-MD. o SpeedCtrl: -50%, -40%, -30%, -20%, -15%, -10%, 5%, 0%, + 5%, +10%, +15%, +20%, +40%, +60%, +100%. o Title: Track, Group, Artist, Album, Disc. Also under the sound button of remote control there are a complete range of settings for adjusting the sound of the MZ-RH1 to your own taste or to the sound of your headphones. * Sound Options o Normal. o Surround: Studio, Live, Club, Arena. o Sound: Heavy, Pops, Jazz, Unique, Custom 1, Custom 2. o D-Normal. Finally with the display button on the remote control you can access a lot of information displaying the disc info or the number of the track you are listening to. By clicking on the display button several times you can show the following information: * Display Options (remote) o Track time (lap time) o Track time remaining o Track title o Artist o Album o Sound preset o Disc title o Recording date / time o Recording mode quoted from the MDcenter.nl website Can all of these menus be accessed from the 55ELK remote? i would be glad if someone can verify this? thanks a lot guys

it's not actually MZ-M100. as far as i'm concerned, MZ-M100 has OLED screen..the same as MZ-RH10. buy my MZ-M10 does not have OLED screen. it's more like a twin to the MZ-RH910, i believe. correct me if i'm wrong. but anyway, thanks a lot guys for the responses. i guess i won't be buying the external battery case of the NH900 then.
-
thanks guys for your quick responses. too bad it can't fit with my MZ-M10. since MZ-M10 is like a twin to the MZ-RH910, can i use the battery case for the MZ-RH models instead?
-
hiii, i have an MZ-M10 minidisc and was wondering whether i can use the external battery case of MZ-NH900 to be paired with my MZ-M10. the thing is, i've lost my external battery case. and i found that this guy is selling the external battery case of his MZ-NH900. can i safely assume that this battery case can be used with my MZ-M10?sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere in this forum. i've searched the forum beforehand, but can't find any info.

hello all, i'm kinda new in this forum, so forgive me if this question may sound silly to u guys . ok, i have a Hi-MD MZ-RH910 player and planning to buy an external battery case for the player. when i bought this baby, the external battery case is not supplied. i have found a seller for this external battery case, but this guy uses the external battery case on MZ-N710 minidisc player. would the battery case fit in my MZ-RH910? i would really appreciate for any answers given. thanks. p/s: btw, MZ-RH910 player rocks!!! long live MD!!!

RM-MC55ELK (white) Vs. RM-MC40ELK
rentabau replied to akijikan's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
wow...those two remotes look stunning. i'm thinking of grabbing a hold of the 55ELK remote. do you think it would work on my MZ-M10? is there an edit function of the tracks? do you think it would work with my MZ-M10? i've read in another thread saying that the search button on the 55ELK won't work in hi-md devices.too bad...do you know any other functions on the buttons that can't be used besides the search button? -
oh, so the search button can't be used. too bad. luckily, i didn't rush myself to buy it.how about the RM-MC40ELK remote? does it support search button? and one more thing, what are other functions in the 55ELK remote that can't be used besides the search function?
-
hiii Ishiyoshi, i saw that u use the rm-mc55elk remote with the rh-10. i currently own mz-m10 and i was wondering wether this remote is compatible with mine? do you have any idea? by the way, i noticed that the 55elk remote got search button. can the search function really work on hi-md minidisc?thanks for any reply.

Thanks for your reply greenmachine... Is there any way I can use other bitrates for my MZ-M10 or am I stuck with the 48,64,256? I was thinking of using 96 or 128kbps ATRAC3plus.I noticed that we can actually convert files from 48kbps up to 352kbps ATRAC3plus including the 96 and 128kbps. so what's the point of giving the option to convert to these bitrates when the truth is I can't play it with my MZ-M10? Is there any player that are capable of playing other bitrates other than 48,64 and 256kbps ATRAC3plus?

Greetings everyone. Sorry if these questions seem silly to you guys since i'm new here. ok, on to the questions. i own a Hi-MD MZ-M10 minidisc and really loving it since day one i bought it. recently i've found out whenever i want to transfer 128kbps .oma files (ripped from cd), SS3.3 keeps wanting to convert the bitrate to something else namely 48kbps, 64kbps and 256kbps .oma files (i prefer ATRAC3plus over ATRAC3). does the player itself only support 48, 64 and 256kbps ATRAC3plus files only? my next question is: recently, i decided to transfer back my files from the disc to the pc. these discs are created using MD simple burner. copied the whole audio cd to the disc. but somehow, SS3.3 keep saying that the files were created from other pc whereas it's not. how do i transfer files (that has been recorded using MD simple burner)on the disc to my pc? my other question is: when is the safest time to eject the disc from the unit? i mean, whenever i press the stop button, the songs stop playing and there's still reading on the lcd. is it safe to eject the disc at that time. or do i have to wait until there's no display on the lcd to safely eject the disc? please enlighten me on these. thank you guys for any help given. i'd really appreciate it
