  1. Maybe this is the girl sector and guitarfxr are dreaming about... She looks like the girl in the avatar. You can check her out at http://www.myspace.com/cocodimples Enjoy!
  2. Do we have any data on who she may be Mr.Spock? I'd like you and Guitarfx to form a committee and explore this further. On a serious note, it's too bad... she;s a hot looking babe whoever she is! You have good taste at least. So you dream of her too, eh? Yeah, he could have taken it further, but thankfully not!
  3. I went over there the other day, but there's hardly any posts to be seen. Do you need a userid to fully view all the threads? Btw, I read a feedback someone left you on your profile, and they referred to you as "he". Well, I would say that is sufficient evidence to know you are a dude in disguise! I feel so used and dirty now. But really, you are quite the teaser for a man... and as I suspected, that pic is probably your girlfriend or some chick you dream of but who doesn't even know you exist.
  4. Ok, well how about another hint or perhaps posting a pic? Give us the name of your facebook account, or how about a link to your myspace? Hee hee. I am just curious who that girl is!
  5. I would say you are a female, because no guy would evade the question and risk other dudes mistaking him for a woman (unless of course you are a guy who swings both ways!). I think you are a girl, but not the girl in the pic.
  6. I saw you had a different avatar yesterday (of a female) and now this one today. Well, I might have been thinking to compliment you (or maybe not) but I am not sure if you are a guy and maybe that's just a picture of your dream girl or something.
  7. Sector I saw your post in a thread on audiostation.com. I was just curious, is that you in the avatar?
  8. Thanks for the tip. Btw, sorry for calling you a dick head.
  9. Guitarfxr, you're too sensitive! I didn't mean to hurt your feelings by coming on here and using a few profanities, I was just a little frustrated over the case issue that's all. I hope you can dig that. Anyway, thanks for your attempted help nonetheless. No actually I found a good one.. that case for the MZ-N10 looks very nice. I'll try to order it from the Sony site. It would be nice if Sony made a glove like case with, with a soft transparent section so you could see the display or use some of the controls. If you are familiar with the leather style case Creative once made for their Nomad Jukebox, that would would be what I am talking about. You could basically keep it in that thing all the time and use it, as well as clipping it to your belt.
  10. I think you are too confident in your Jedi powers. The R-09 is not an MP3 player. It is a professional digital recorder. Of course it may be able to play the recorded materials or ones copied to the unit, but in the traditional sense of MP3 player, that it is not. You call me arrogant? Listen to yourself! I never came on here flaming anyone. If you didn't like how I responded to *you*, try not to be a condescending smart ass. I am well aware of many different "MP3 players" on the market. But I said MIC input not Line Input. Why don't you give me the names of a few MP3 Players (ie. ones popular with consumers) which come with MIC inputs. Line in is not really intended for a MICROPHONE and I don't want to have to lug around a pre-amp unit. Also, give me the names of some MP3 players on the market which have built in microphones which can record in high sensitivity (ie. designed to record the noise in a room, not just the immediate person's voice). Again, I am asking for MP3 player, not a $400 professional digital recorder. If you do your research, you will find the choices are very limited. I am not a big fan of the iPod either, but your idea of it being a "fashion accessory" is utter nonsense. I agree that the Mini Disc is one of the best platforms if not the best, but if you read my original post properly you would have understood that I was complaining about the lack of a decent CASE. I wasn't complaining about the Mini Disc in terms of it's technology. The lack of the case so I can use the thing on the go, or while working out, that's what concerns me. You didn't even mention anything about that.
  11. None of those units are MP3 players. Yeah I'll get right on that dick head. Thanks for the smart ass response.
  12. My biggest issue with the whole mini disc platform is the lack of decent cases. This case for the MZ-N10 looks really cool, but where in the hell do we buy it from? I tried the link at http://servicesales.sel.sony.com/web/index.jsp but it's not coming up for me. I wish Sony would have made 1 f'g decent case for the Hi-MD models and shipped them with every damn unit regardless of the country you are in. The grey pouch I received with my RH10 is useless. I want a case which allows me to clip my unit onto my belt so I can at least do a workout or take a frikin walk down the street! If anyone has an updated link pointing to some place you can buy this N10 case or a similar sort of case (ie, slim case with a bely clip and some openings on the side for the ear plugs) that would be great. I'll tell ya, the main reasons I own a Hi-MD player is because I can do some quality recording in the field as well as play some mp3s. If they sold iPods or other quality MP3 players with a mic input or a decent on board microphone, I would dump this mini disc platform right away. You'd think after all these damn years, Sony would have realized that a lack of a decent case would prohibit people from fully enjoying these units, and being able to use them on the go without worrying about scratching/damaging them. This md case situation is as if we are a bunch of pro bowlers stuck with carrying around our bownling balls in tennis bags because nobody makes a customized professional case for them.
  13. Well, whoever is the lucky person to stumble on this post and uses Sony Connect, here is a Connect coupon code for 5 free songs: SEA7XH394WK4 (expires March 31/06) I got this coupon with the purchase of my new RH10. I tried using the code, but since I am located in Canada it doesn't work. Sony's high tech Connect site is quite good at pinponting my geographic location and quickly states I am not entitled to this offer. Rather than ripping up and throwing the coupon to my fireplace, I thought I would throw it to the wolves. Enjoy
  14. Hello, here is a bug found in SS 3.4: When I installed SS 3.4, I imported all my music files into the newly created library. Feeling a little empty since I always used Media Player, I decided to import several of my playlists from Media Player (ie. M3U playlists). After that was completed, whenever I search on any of the songs in these playlists, I now see two entries identical. Delete the wrong one, and it also removes the entry from the respective playlist where the song existed. The tracks are likely duplicates due to importing an M3U playlist which contains a song(s) already in your library. If you happen to delete the "wrong" duplicate (ie. the one representing the song from the M3U playlist which was imported) suddenly the song is no longer in that playlist. To work around this, one could delete the original entry of the track/MP3 in the library, and that way there will onl;y be one instance of the track. Unfortunately there is no easy way (that I know of anyway) to identify the duplicates which are not representative of the playlist entries. I haven't even tested what happens if you import other M3U playlists which contain the same songs as contained in other imported playlists... but there is a good chance it might add yet another duplicate entry. This is something which developers should look at right away, as it will make for a messy library when users start importing their playlists.

If you happen to delete the "wrong" duplicate (ie. the one representing the song from the M3U playlist which was imported) suddenly the song is no longer in that playlist. I find this "duplicates" issue/bug to be most annoying, and I am surprised the developers did not catch that. When I installed SS 3.4, I imported all my music files into the newly created library.
