Last week i stopped over in singapore on my way to and from japan. I did not leave the airport, but they did not have it duty free yet.

Any update of the exact date this unit will be released? This Sunday i will be heading to japan for a week and next month (27 June) i will be moving there for 14 months. I am wondering if i should buy my MZRH1 in Japan or wait until the Australian release in June (obviously there will be a slight price decrease over time). Does anyone know of any differences between the releases apart from the Japanese MZRH1 will support Kanji and the SS will be in Japanese (I know i will probably be able to download the MZRH1 SS/driver from the forum download section in the near future). Does the Japanese model have the option of english menus (Currently studying Japanese but my Kanji is not too good at the moment)? What do people think? Wait or Splurge?

Numerous people on this forum have used or owned an AD20 mic preamp. I would like to know if anyone who owns one can post some photos of the internals of this preamp, or if anyone who has used one ever opened it and could tell me the packaging space. So far i have not been able to find any photos. I currently use Coresound CSBs with 9V Battery Box and i am thinking of purchasing an AD20. However the larger equipment count, AD20 size and XLR inputs requiring adapters for the CSBs has me thinking about modifying the AD20. I intend to remove the 9V battery box from my live recording gear by piggy backing the AD20's 9V for the mic suppy whilst also bypassing the XLR inputs (to eradicate XLR to 3.5mm adaptor) by having the battery box internals mounted inside the AD20 (a couple of capacitors and mic plug socket). I will then use the optical output from the AD20 (bypassing the 3.5mm jack on the CSBs). The idea is just in my head at the moment so it probably does not make much sense. If you can think of any problems i will face these mods eg noise issues or current consumption. Please let me know. Thanks
