  1. Yep, you got all my R.E.M. It is my understanding that there were only 4 albums released on MD. Thank you to everyone who has purchased parts of my collection. I've been out of town for about 10 days, so to those of you still waiting, I'll send the updated SS as soon as I get back to the office on monday. but a short summary, all my Hi-MD stuff is gone. Still have a JE470 and MDX-D40 decks, plenty of prerec disc, hundreds of general blanks, some new some used, an NF520 and N10 portables, and numerous storage solutions. thanks, MDBoy
  2. Thanks to everyone for their interest. I have sold quite a few things but I still have a ton of stuff left. Email me for the spreadsheet. Highlights include, almost new DH-10P, 50+ prerecorded discs, tons (200+) of a wide variety of blanks, MXD-D40 cd/md deck, PCLK-MN20 digital MD deck interface, and a perfect condition, new open box NF520D. thanks, MDBoy
  3. I still have tons of stuff available, and prices are dropping. Thanks to all of you that i have done business with, everything has gone very smoothly. Email me for an updated list. MDBoy
  4. I have four of the single row wood racks that look like a wooden crate. Each holds about 25 discs in a single row and has the MiniDisc logo wood burned into the ends. The 610's are sold, RH10 is gone, some of the pre-recs are gone. But I still have tons of blanks, pre-rec's, and two decks and 4 different portables. Email me at the above posted address for an updated list. And I can reply with photos of anything you want to see. Thanks, MDBoy
  5. I can take pictures of anything you want. Email me at rafterboy42ATyahooDOTcom and I'll send you the list. BTW, 610's are gone, MZ-1 is sold, some of the blanks and prerecorded discs going out the door. email for an updated list, Thanks, MDBoy
  6. I'm selling a few of these things, but email or PM me if you are interested. If you are looking for something, I just might have it. Don't like my prices, make me an offer! Thanks, MDBoy
  7. Can't seem to attach a .xls, I'll try to write it to a .pdf and post it tomorrow. FYI, I still have most of the stuff on the list so let me know if you want to deal. thanks,
  8. I forgot to mention, I have a paypal acct if you want to pay with credit card, but it will be 3% more to cover the fees. I didn't post shipping, but I will only charge the acutal rate by USPS Parcel Post or Priority mail, and depending what you want, I'll group it all together. I've already had 8 people requesting my price sheet, thanks for the interest. And remember, I'll let forum members (and their friends) have first pick over this stuff and won't head it over to ebay till everybody here has had their chance. thanks again, MDBoy
  9. As much as I love the format, I just don't do anything with it anymore. I have thousands of dollars invested in home decks, computer interfaces, portables, blanks, remotes, and prerecorded discs. I built a nice little collection, and hopefully some of you can benefit from this. I have 2 home decks, 8 portables, 60 prerecorded discs, and over 200 blanks, new and used, as well as storage, labels, and a ton of accessories. So many that I had to make a excel spreadsheet with three pages to inventory it all. So if you are interested and in a buying mood, send me an email at rafterboy42ATyahoo.com (you know how to change it) and I will send you the spreadsheet. Suggested prices are in the sheet, but make me an offer, and of course the more you buy the more the discount. A few highlights include: MXD-D40 CD/MD deck, JE470 deck, DH-10P, RH10, MZ-1, MZ-R2,original recordings from REM, Oasis, etc. Sony ES, TDK bit club, AXIA blanks, wood MD racks, japanese issue MZ-N10. I wish I had more time to play, but other things have taken priority. Please pass the sheet onto any of your friends who are interested. I'll try to keep it up to date with what is still available. Remember, if you don't like my price, give me a price you are willing to pay. thanks, MDBoy
  10. Unfortunately the Tartan Army did not qualify, which leaves my allegiance with the US team and France. Unfortunately I think the US will bow out in the first round, but the French have a chance to make the semis. MDBoy
  11. Thanks! I found a recommendation to check out Avalanche in a guide book. We will be staying for a few days just a few blocks north of Waverly Station. I'll make sure to check out a Fopp or two. Where is the Newington area? Cheers, MDBoy
  12. I'm headed back from the colonies to Scotland for a few weeks next month. Will be spending a few days in Edinburgh, I know there is a Sony Style store there and I plan to check that out. What I'm looking for is recommendations on good music shops in Edinburgh. New/Used/Rare/Vinyl/MD etc. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks, MDBoy
  13. I wondered about the quality of these units, now I may have to pick one up for international travel. Buying this complete unit would be cheaper than the voltage converter to charge my gumsticks! Thanks for the review, Paul

    MCrew help needed

This got me to thinking about what control setting I was using under my audio devices tab in the control panel. I remebered something about this in the MCrew manual. I have to switch to the USB Audio Device under the Audio tab in the Sounds and Audio Devices folder in the control panel. This must be done to send the audio stream out the USB, otherwise it goes out the sound card and to the speakers. So hot diggity! It works now! Of course I could have just used sonic stage to do this but I just couldn't rest until I had the full functionality of the PC link setup. Thanks for the help! Paul
  15. Well most of the questions on this forum are about SonicStage, I however, have a MCrew problem. MCrew is the software that comes with the Sony PCLK-MN20 PC link kit. I am using the kit to control a MXD-D40. MCrew appears to control all deck functions properly, allows me to copy from the CD deck to the MD deck and input titles. My problem comes when I try to use MCrew to copy an mp3 on the computer to the MD deck. In the file transfer window I can add a track to copy and it plays back, but I get no signal level on the MD deck. So I've started debugging the system, here's what I know so far: I have confirmed that the input on the MD deck is set to the optical input. I have used another optical source into the MD Deck and it gives me a signal and records properly (who would of ever figured I would use and MZ-R1 to check a much newer deck!). That means that my problem is in the PCLK-MN20 PC Link Kit. The link kit controls all functions on the deck, so the multi pin controller is working ok. This only leaves the optical out of the link kit. When I pull the cable out, I see the red light, so the cable is sending something. And If I pull out the cable during recording, the MD deck warns me that the cable is disconnected. That being said, I'm thinking I don't have something clicked or set correctly in the MCrew software. I do have the record level set to 0.0db on all my inputs (which is right in the middle) and increasing it to max makes no difference. The disc records silence and adds the title to it, then I can play back the silence, but music would be much more enjoyable. Anyone else running MCrew to control a deck that could shed some light on my problem? Many Thanks, Paul
